DIY OFF GRID SOLAR DESIGNsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #howto9 years ago

Becoming independent with your electrical energy needs is critical for navigating the coming changes and even though there is a lot to know, a determined person can save tons on doing the project themselves. Here I try to make it relatively easy by share a lots of the information in these 3 videos.

I am still new to youtube here and the presentations may be simple but the information is valuable.

Later I share with you some of the systems that I have installed for the community. (The presentations are slowly getting better)

I now live completely off grid with my solar systems that I have and would be happy to help anyone with questions or system design.

Check that out! That is awesome!

Nice! Keep posting, this is valuable information, THANK YOU!

You are very welcome. I can't wait for what's next.

I have only made it to the end of Solar DIY Basics Part 2, and wanted to add my agreement with your suggestion to connect the battery bank to a charge controller "diagonally" (my words). Positive to the first battery (+)post and negative to the last battery (-)post. I have seen so many systems that were connecting both to the first battery in a parallel bank (mostly for convenience), only to overcharge the first battery and draw down the last battery to near 0 volts. As well (hoping I am not jumping the gun, as you probably cover it in a future video) the size of the jumper wires matters. Bigger is better.
