Voluntarism In Disaster Response

The "Cajun Special Forces" held a training event on the 3rd. They covered everything from K-9 searches to nighttime search and rescue. They also got volunteers from other states to attend as well. This just goes to show you that people acting voluntarily with each other can accomplish great things.
I first heard about them during the August 2016 flood. From what I remember, they responded faster than the state police and national guard.
They hit the ground quick, and in Livingston Parish they didn’t want them in there. Then they just turned the I-12 overpass in Denham Springs into a boat launch.
Same events transpired during Hurricane Harvey. Hell, even Jake Paul reached survivors before the officials. BTW I have a new post up about police accountability and will produce a couple more this week.
