Photography - Age of Wonders

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

A couple months back I went to visit Space Expo, the museum associated with ESA (European Space Agency), which sits on the ESTEC (European Space Research and Technology Centre) terrain where all ESA operations are managed.

When you enter that Museum, there's this hallway that's pitch dark save for backlit panels of space photography. It's against one of these panels that my son wondered about the enormity of it all. Luckily I had my camera with me to take photographs in the museum, so I was really grateful that I managed to capture this moment.

It's a shame one slightly loses this sense of wonder when one grows up. This shot reminds me to never lose that magical feeling.

That photo is awesome man!

Yeah I love it as well. It captures the mood, setting and feelings perfectly.

It indeed looks magical!

Is that the same place we visited with mom and dad when we were young? What was it called? Omniversum?

No this is Space Expo. It's a museum about space on the actual official ESA terrain. Jack was to young, but you can actually tour the facilities from here (min. age is 9)
