Amazon Polly is an Amazon Web Service that let you turns text into lifelike speech; a TTS service that employs advanced deep learning tech to produce speech that sounds like a natural human voice.
With Amazon Polly:
- You can create applications that talk,
- You can build completely new categories of speech-enabled products.
The Amazon Polly has 47 lifelike voices in 24 languages, which you can choose from to create speech-enabled apps that work in many different countries
Using Polly, you can send the text you want to convert into speech to the Polly API, and it will return an audio stream that you can play or store it in common audio file formats like MP3.

Amazon is one of the largest companies on Earth and they've been getting into AI/Machine Learning recently. I've seen many related products from them. One thing I have faith in Amazon Polly is to sink enough resources to get things right. The use cases are of course massive. Just imagine what this would do to people with speech impairments. This would also make conversations with deaf people people even more pleasant by using Hand Signal > Text > Speech converter.
Multiple language support is also highly appreciated. The best use case for me would be making those product promotion videos and narrators. It's a really hard job that many are not capable of. You have to try it to know how difficult it is. From now on you can type instead of trying.
The pricing is also quite cheap compared to the convenience.

I haven't seen such a cool service anywhere which can turn a text into speech just like a human speak in real. Amazing features with multiple languages. Non-tech people can create app using this one. COOL
We have also a thesis and we also use a deep learning method. At first, it was hard to understand but eventually we slowly learn its techniques. There are varieties of languages that you can also pick on this.
Been using other services till now, will try amazon polly now.
