Why don't you keep the birds in captivity

Many had pets: birds, fish, cats, dogs, turtles. And if they do, they do something funny or they're pasty. They're the same kids. I wanted to have birds at home, but there were a lot of cats, so it didn't work out. We decided to have cheaters that we could let go back out if we had to.

As a child, kids in the villages also caught crooks. You put a garden, pour the feed there (seeds, groats or breadcrumbs), put a special stick in the working position, it will then close the garden, and the bird will remain in the cage.

Everybody did, the birds got caught. We put them in a cage and fed them, drank them, but did not keep them for a long time, so that they did not learn how to fly, still tightly. We'll sit for a week, let them go, fly back, take them home again.

And then one day, a strange couple came up. One bird is no different, but the other is a fighter. Just try who comes to the cage, he immediately pounced on the rods and began with his beak scare everyone away, "bite", scratch. It was just impossible to take care of him. I was little and they wouldn't let me near the cage. But the adults did not hurry to open the birds in the morning, because there is a bandit.

Imagine, you take off a rag and you get baked. It's not nice. Besides, it hurts. Do you want to pour water or food? They'll bite you too, they'll bite you for anything.

And to clean the cage, the birds need to be transplanted. You take it lightly and transplant it. But it wasn't there. The other bird sits peacefully, you put it down, starts eating its food and that's it. This warrior believes with his head and starts pawing at your hand. That's the explosive nature.

This bird was given to an acquaintance who also held them. He didn't believe it could happen. He always held it, you can pet it and let it fly. But as soon as he got the bird, he knew he was dealing with the bird mafia. He also bit it, scratched it, kept it from cleaning the cage and protected himself. In the end, he was released on the loose, whether he and other birds offended, or it was impossible to deal with him.

I think that's how I understood that birds also have a character that helps them not only to survive, but also to fight for their interests, for the truth and desire to fly on the wild (although who knows, maybe birds are depressed). One quiet lives and lives, put in a cage, but fed, warm, cared for. She does not resist. And the other tends to the outside or is so pugnacious in character, who will take them apart. But now I know that everyone has their own character.

Since then, I don't want to keep the birds in captivity. It's not clear if the bird is glad to have a home now, it's fed up, it's sad and it wants to go back. That's the bird I remember with both sadness and joy. He pecked everyone, but he was brave. Imagine fighting someone a hundred times bigger than you. Think before you buy or catch a bird, do you save its life, give it a new one or take away its will? It's better to admire from afar by slipping food into feeders.
