THE DIARY GAME: STEEM MEETUP AT MAYAGA HOTEL IN NAVRONGO

in Steem Ghana4 years ago

Good day fellow Steemians.
Since today happened to be the meet up day, as a new comer who desires to learn more about steemit, I also decided to partake in this activity.
After waking up and had my usual breakfast this morning, I took my bath and had to wait for some few friends to set off to the program’s venue (Mayaga hotel in Navrongo, Upper East Region, Ghana -West Africa).

ABOUT TO SET OFF FOR THE MEETUP

We set off to the roadside to hire the usual Tricycle (Can do)which is mostly the means of transportation in Navrongo here. We really had fun in the “can do” since the rider gave us good tunes and we sung along.

HAVING FUN IN THE TRICYCLE

I must confess that this is the finest and coolest family I’ve joined.
My friends did informed me to joined Steemit and I refused many times but just few days ago I took their advice in good fate and joined and I have not regretted joining.

The reception there was one of the best and I must testify that, it’s a very good and real family everyone should join. The MC for the program was @debbyann. The program begun with a prayer said by @cherub27.

THE SET UP FOR THE MEET UP

I learnt a lot and all doubts are now sorted out by the speeches delivered by @cherub27 @farhmade @njawan and @alhajibabajnr
In fact, they really explained things into details for our understanding. And we the newbies too understood what Steemit is all about and also the dos and don’ts were all cleared out during the session.

They also stressed very much on the issue of plagiarism. It was made clear that we desist from such act because the content one creates in Steemit should be real and not fake.

Many questions were also thrown to the organizers and in fact, @njawan and @cherub27 took their time and explained everything accordingly for easily understanding and to clear all doubts about steemit.
Everyone that came around was really really happy and even wished for more.

Whiles the program continued, there was time for refreshments and it was so so fantastic and refreshing indeed. It was a buffet and we had Ghana jollof and Fried rice with chicken, there was minerals to top it up to refresh ourselves.
We had a great moment during the meet up.
One very important thing too was about the socialization. There were new faces and I saw it as a great opportunity to meet new friends. I had talks with some who came around and we shared so many ideas about steemit and the experiences so far.

I ALSO HAD TIME TO ENJOY MY MEAL

After the refreshment, @njawan gave a presentation on the guidelines to follow as a newbie and in fact, he elaborated on very vital information for us all who are in this community to get ourselves understood. He really gave a beautiful and very nice presentation and I really enjoyed it.
@njawan stated that ”We reward prove of brain not plagiarism” in steemit and I have put that statement in my head and I’ll always abide by it.
