Maybe I'll share some pictures tomorrow. Got one that I love of Freya zonked out at the table during our feast. Yes, Happy Thanksgiving and all that jazz. The primary purpose of this post though, is to participate in a little thingy that my sis dropped around midnight last night. She said, why don't we just fill the chain with some positivity? Great idea! I'll share some of my Steem lovliness and a little thought for the brains that find this.
Tell us of some way or another that Steem has positively impacted your life. It really didn't take me long to find an answer to that one. It's the relationships! Sure, there have been a couple that have faded, but ten times as many that have flourished and are cherished. As most of you know, I'm a stay at home dad most of the time, so going out by myself and making new friends, isn't really an option.
There is the occasional common ground acquaintance with some of the other parents or a familiar face at the park, but for the most part, Steem has given me a new base of friends. No, a family. One that I have met and hugged in real life and will hug a hundred times again. Most all of them I have met are genuine and believe it or not, some of them are pretty generous.
Generosity
Today was (is) Khaldeesi's birthday and before I was even able to get out of bed this morning, I had a to-do list of errands. Luna was part of that list. She was bound and determined to get her sister something for her birthday. I've been giving her a small allowance for a few basic chores since she turned 7, and she pooled all the money she had to get her little sister a gift. This made me feel pretty happy, she seems to understand the value behind giving and maybe even understands that it comes back.
'Tis the season is here my peoples. Dig just a little deeper when you walk by the missionaries ringing their bell. Get some cash in the store if you have none on hand because you never know, that person that you fed might be just healthy enough now to change your oil efficiently. That poor kid who got the new shiny toy decides he doesn't want to be a bully to your child any more. Weird how the world works.
What's the phrase? Mysterious ways or something? The karma you build, will come back, and I believe my Crown Princess, knows this. Regardless what you choose to do or not do, REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, even while hiding happy tears in the checkout line at Wally-World.

That would be quite interesting I'm sure, but I'm a Canadian and can't travel far without paying for it with increasing levels of pain, so I tend not to travel more than I have to. Maybe someday there'll be a joint US/Canada meeting here in New Brunswick, close enough for me to attend, that would be cool. :D
LOL, yes they are, I had two older brothers who tortured me both figuratively and literally. :D Happy Black Friday to you as well, though I don't do that personally, I'm not a fan of crowds or shopping, so that sort of thing isn't for me. :D Good luck to you if you're willing to brave a store. :D LOL. :D

We moved here from Ontario years ago, it was quite an adventure, two vehicles, two young children, a dog, and a couple of walkie-talkies to communicate between vehicles about pit-stops and other issues. :D I wouldn't really recommend this type of adventure for the faint of heart, but we survived, so we know it can be done. :D LOL. :D
