All right my fellow crazies Steemians, are you ready to get fucked forked? I would put an image of a Doomsayer, but citing it would be a pain on Dpoll, and many won't get the reference.
That's right, it's going to happen and pretty much nothing will stop it. Unless, some global catastrophic event happens. We won't go into that because I'm too tired to entertain the thoughts.
It is my hope that this hard fork will not be like the last one, where the entire blockchain came to a halt. I still blame that one on STINC for pressing the witnesses to accept it on short notices.
HF21 contains major changes to how things operate around here. My only lament is that it cast a wide net in number of different, unique, changes.
For example, we will have subsidized flags, but we don't have ways to delegate that power. Several whales claimed that they don't downvote due to financial reasons. It took them a while to consider putting in RC delegations when the system came up in HF20. Part of me feel as if things aren't polished on purpose.
Let's not get started on the proposal system. We shall see how fair and effective it is when it is in action.
How about on the exchange front? How long would it take for Bittrex, Binance, etc. to reopen business for Steemians? This is one of the major downsides of a hard fork. Would people want to be vested in a place that undergo changes with such frequency?
Regardless, this is a random poll to gauge how everyone remaining is feeling.
I'm not an author or would call myself a content creator. I'm an amateur blogger, at best. Even then, that's not why I came here in the first place. It intrigues me to see how many people have taken this place with such seriousness.

I think there would be an initial excitement about free flags and maybe interest in the proposal system. Pretty sure that enthusiasm will die off relatively quickly.

Well, I would say that Steem is not the only crypto that hard forks at this frequency, if you want to call it that. I keep track of a number of others and they all do at some point.

Examples please.
Off the top of my head I can only think of dogecoin but I know that I've own other coins that have forked a few times within a year.

I mean...comparing Steem to Doge kind of makes Steem looks a bit pathetic. Doge is at least fun.
I would argue that the frequency of hard forks have diminished though and it's an ever evolving process to improve itself.
