Have you used up all your witness votes?
I'm sure if I wanted to, I could look up people to see if they have used up all their witness votes. I know I have not used up all 30 votes. Last time, I checked, I had only used up 18 spots.
For curiosity's sake, how many of you have actually voted for 30 witnesses?
For those who have not, you are not alone.
For those who will take the time to vote on this poll, let me know some other worthy witness options. I will do some research and/or get to know the witness/team better.
Then again, consider I'm only worth 6 MVests or so, my opinion may not be relevant. But hey, you'll never know. More votes might follow you if you take a second to say something.

I vote for a witness when I see them do something positive for the chain and unvote if I see otherwise. It takes effort to get a vote. It's easy to lose one..

Yeah, while their main purpose is to sign blocks, it is very much a social and political office in reality.
I can’t imagine anyone doing it as a hobby.

@patrizius92 I feel the same. Also if you are a witness make sure to say so. Put a footer in your post please. Don't expect me to know your a witness, especially if you are not on the top 100 list.

Seems like a waist not to use all my votes, but it’s not always clear who is worthy of our pennies. I wish there was a reliable source for witnesses activity/worth.
I’m glad you brought this up. I’m checking my witnesses now. As I write this sentence, I have 4 unused votes remaining.

I’m removing rival because I can’t remember why I had rival. Same with steemed, not sure why I had them as a witness.
By the way, a list that only shows the top 100 just adds to my confusion. Why not show them all?
Why even have witnesses with their names crossed out on an exclusive top 100 list? For example, Jerrybanfield has been disabled for 18 weeks and has been sold to someone else. Someone needs to get that off the list if it is not a functional node. Even Steemworld.org stops at 100!!! Am I to assume witnesses below the top ten are unworthy?

Where is Joseph and his SBI witness name? I wanna give those two as much support as possible.

Finally, I’m just gonna say that using Steemit.com to chose a witness is frustrating. I would only use it to type in a witness that doesn’t appear on the top 100 list. Steemworld.org is better for choosing witnesses in my opinion. Steemit just shows me a spinning upvote button that never stops spinning.
This turned into a rant answer didn’t it? I guess I’m asking for help. It’s been bothering me.
Thanks for the support! We do not have an official SBI witness at this time. The lead developer for our automation and maintenance was @holger80 and he does have a witness, but he is mostly working on other projects now.
@dpoll is not a witness but it's run by @emrebeyler who is a witness.
There are top 100 witnesses that are crossed out because their supporters don't remove their votes and witness votes do not decay.

I'd probably say about half of them based on current activity are 100% deserving of it. The rest are varying degrees of being deserving of it. Times change. 😁

No - I actually have only voted in the past when a witness was exceptionally cool in one way or another - I admit though I don't completly understand what the witness vote does.

It’s a big topic, but the top 20 witnesses, based on the stakes that voted them, are the ones that can make changes on the blockchain level.
They also make more as compensation if they are higher rank.
And it’s basically politics.
