I beautified my meditation corner
I meditate for many years now and it became one of the most important aspects in my life. It helped me more than anything else to find my true self and grow spiritually and personally. So I decided to beautify the space where I meditate regularly. This is what came out of my creative flow :)
I am sure some more decoration and paintings will follow :)
Do you also meditate and have a special place to explore your consciousness?
Namasté,
yours Linda
Wow! @endorphoenix, brilliant post my dear sister. It is good to see that you are deeply a spiritual person. You are a awaken soul, only some people can find out their higher self, who is awaken one and you are also one of them. Thanks my dear for sharing this amazing post.
Aaaaaw dear sister @stardivine! Thank you so much <3 You are such a lovely and spiritual awaken soul! <3 Your words about the higher self show how beautifully spiritual you are <3 Exploring and conecting to the higher self and the source is so important to me :) I couldn't imagine a life without meditation, nature, transpersonal psychology and spiritual and shamanic experiences. Oh how I would love to meditate with you my shining star <3
Very nice that you made yourself a beautiful place. I have a few different places I like to be for the peace but mostly anywhere will do as it's about going inside yourself and so you lose touch with the outside environment anyway but then where you come back to the world again it is nice to be in a peaceful zen spot - your space looks really nice. The aum symbol is pretty.
Thank you very much dear @sallybeth23 :) I really appreciate your lovely words! :)
You are totally right, you really dive deep within yourself and everything around you dissappears :) One day I just felt like coming back could be more beautiful so I grabbed my colours and started painting :) I really love the aum symbol so I felt like it needed to be on my wall :)
Thank you so much for your praise! <3
Upvoted of course! :-)
Very nice! Thank you for sharing your space...
I don't really have too much in the way of a special space for meditation right now. I have my special cushions over in the corner of the room, and that's where I go to meditate.
The following picture is a setup I had at a previous apartment back in 2011.
Meditation pyramid along with crystal balls, candle etc. I hope you find it interesting. :-)
WOW!!!Thank you so much for sharing your corner and for your lovely words and the upvote!!! This is so wonderful and looks so cozy and magical! I LOVE it!! <3 Truely a beautiful meditation spot! :)
Love it! I'm sure this space makes you happy and calm.
I always go on and off with meditation, I think that my record was 5 days in a row meditating. I've heard many people who said that it changed their life so I believe that it has a lot of benefits.
I guess that consistency is very important at the beginning, if you have any tips, please share! :)))
Thank you so much dear @nikolina!! :) I totally know what you mean! :D I was going on and off meditation, too at the beginning. It helped me a lot to read about the benefits of meditation like better health, better concentration, inner peace, more power and enjoyment of life, getting connected to the divine source and healing yourself...and much more :) I wanted to become more aware of my body and my spirit and so I decided to give it a try and do it constantly! :) It made me really speechless, as it became more and more psychedelic the more I practised and showed me corners of my soul which seemed burried deep down inside my ego and subconsciousness :) I got a very authentic glimpse of who I really am and this really helped me to find my way, heal my body and soul and live a healthier life :)
Consistancy, especially at the beginning, is really important to integrate it into your every days life and make it a healthy and easy going habbit :) It helped me a lot to listen to guided meditations on youtube at the beginning, as for beginners it is pretty hard to just sit down, breath and think about nothing. The mind is pretty tricky until you learned how to control it :D But listening to guided meditations, healing sounds and fantasy journeys (for example to find your spirit animal) was really enriching to me :) There are also active meditations developed by Osho which are brilliant in my opinion. You have to get used to it as it feels a bit weird the first times, but it is very powerful! :) I hope I could help you <3 If you have any questions, you may ask me anytime dear! <3
Thank you so much for taking time to share all this with me!
I was using an app called Headspace for guided meditations and I found it way easier to stay focused. I guess I'll go back to that again. I've heard a little bit about active meditations but I'll definitely do more research. Thanks for all the tips!
Beautiful, what does the symbol mean? I meditate occasionally, never enough.
Thank you so much dear @what-is-life!! :) <3 It's so nice to read you meditate, too! Everytime you meditate is great and healthy for you, even if it is just occasionally :) Your body and soul will benefit from it! :)
The symbol is the "OM" or "AUM" symbol which is the highest and holiest symbol in Buddhism and Hinduism. It is a mantra which represents the primordial sound of the universe and is seen as the manifestation of the spiritual power. The alphabet in sanskrit language starts with an O and ends with an M, so it also represents all the words which exist, the beginning and the end. The part of the AUM symbol which looks like a 3 is the A and stands for: upper part- wake, under part dream. The M which is connected to the "3" stands for sleeping state. The bow with the dot on it stands for the letter U. The dot is enlightment and the bow is the illusion we have to overcome to find the enlightment :) I just love this symbol and it really represents my spiritual journey so well <3 I hope i explained it not too complicated :D Good vibes to you <3
