The territories of the hippo is usually along the banks of rivers and lakes and it is actively defended by the male hippos. The female hippos most times feeds on the shore while their babies remain in water and whenever the notice any one coming in between their babies the become extremely aggressive. In Africa, the hippos are responsible for more human fatalities than any other large animal.

The possibility of meeting an elephant outside a protected zone is very slim but when it occurs, things can get very difficult. The male elephants both the young and the old are aggressive even when they are not provoked. The kill their victims by trampling on them.
