Everyone loves a Happy Ending

I followed this year's Grammy awards with as much interest as Lord Voldemort would have growing plants at Hogwarts. However, something did catch my attention - Cardi B winning a Grammy.

Am neither a Huge fan of Cardi or rap in general, but I do have a strong sense of admiration for women holding their own in what is a male dominated segment of music. For me though, the Grammy Award wasn't the story, rather it was the story within the story.

Over the last couple of years one name has largely Stuck out fromhe female rap scene - Nicki Minaj. She's had been nominated an astonishing 10 times but has never won a Grammy. Cardi is a relative newcomer as far as the is concerned, so what made her story different?

I came across a little article chronicling the past life of Cardi from her stripping days to becoming one of the hottest rappers of this era. It certainly made for a good read and I couldn't help but wonder if sentiments didn't have anything to do with that grammy win.

No doubt she is talented in her own right, but all things considering, I would take a good, honest story over mere action anyday.
