Reading of books has been part of me and I have read so many books about building destiny for life, values of life, before the ring or before getting into marriage, business books etc just to mention few.

In life, the fundamental truth and laws make one able to know and success and failure are predictable which are all hidden in books that's why I choose reading books as one of my hobbies.

In this book, "Turning your marriage vow to wow!" This is a book which I can not forget the principles of marriage that I have read from this book which has helped me to build a healthy, happy, peaceful and successful marriage for life.

This book outlines things that has made my marriage not to remain the same, after I finished reading the book then I applied the lessons in my marriage. When the writer said "if you want your marriage vow to turn wow! then embrace wisdom. Know what your spouse wants and do it for her to make your home a center of joy" he was talking about how to get wisdom and understanding in relating with your spouse. Which has taught me not to compare my wife with others for it is stupidity to do so.

This is a world where nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care.
He also talked about care "No one is against care in the whole world, that care is an acceptable currency one can take to any country and discover that it is spendable. I have learnt that lack of care breeds toxicity in marriage. When someone truly cares about you, they make an effort, not excuse.

Transparency: I understood that when there is no openness, there would be suspicions which break down trust and eventually the marriage. I learnt that it takes commitment to be transparent to my spouse if I want to experience wow in my marriage.

In marriage, offences must come and what one needs is an apology. Not just an apology but a sincere apology. That's why I learnt sincere apology is a healing balm in any marriage or relationship from this book and when I say "I am sorry" I have lightened two feelings. So with that when conflicts come I use the extinguisher of "I am sorry" to stop the conflict.

Before I got married, my father told me that it is all about sacrifice which means giving your all to your spouse daily. Which means looking beyond yourself. That successful marriage are built with the pillar of sacrifice so I don't want to regret at my old age time that's why I have to bond now with my spouse and children more because of what I have learnt from this book.

To me, this book is an eye opener because I have seen many homes on fire. I have learnt from this book that you have to trust people somehow and believe in them so that your life will not become difficult. In a marriage where there is no binding force of trust such marriage will fall.
Since the day I read this book, I just stopped reading meaning to acts of my spouse so that I will not bring red flag to my home. For that I have to protect trust and kill any wrong imagination so that the peace of God will rest in my heart.

"Assumption is the lowest form of knowledge and is even better not to live or have such in mind and if anyone assume he or she will succeed in marriage without engaging relevant, age proven and timeless principles, such marriage can not grow from truths, then it is exercise in futility.

In conclusion, nobody is above learning and we learn everyday, learning new things is good because when you stop learning, you are slow to your grave. Learning is wisdom.
