The old and still actual tradition
The last day of the year I love spending only with my family like I was spending it when I was younger. There is something about being with the loved ones which I would never trade.
The last meal before the new year was always the homemade beef tartare made by my mother. She made it in big volume because we ate that only for New year's eve. But now, when my family is living abroad, and I have my own family we do only a small amount of it. But it's still a delicious treat.
So for my today's post, I decided to share with you basic ingredients which I used to make my one beef tartare. I used: ground beef, salt, pepper, ground red paprika, anchovies, pickles, mayonnaise, mustard, and a little spoon of sunflower oil.
You can add other ingredients, but for a kid-friendly version, I think this will do. 😊
Remembering the old times, and celebrating with the ones who are closest to my heart I will wish you a nice celebration, and a healthy and happy new year.
P.s. I hope my mother doesn't mind me posting her original recipe in the Slovene language of course
Thank you for the wonderful recipe!
Happy New year, @emmamia
Your welcome.
Happy New Year
Thank you. I also wish all the best to you and your family!
Hand written old recipes are the best!
True. I don't have many of my own, but who knows what the time will bring.
