Facebook Just Unpublished Numerous Independent Media Pages

The bulk of independent media just came to a standstill. Facebook just unpublished hundreds of pages they claim to be profiting off of politics. Page owners were not warned prior to the pages being unpublished.

These pages profit off of politics, and many other topics, because they are writing about and sharing the news, just as corporate media profits off these very same stories. And while corporate media profits sometimes to an extreme, independent media has simply been trying to cover costs and pay journalists something.. anything.

According to the LA Times:

"Facebook said on Thursday it has purged more than 800 U.S publishers and accounts for flooding users with politically oriented content that violated the company's spam policies, a move that could reignite accusations of political censorship."

Unpublished pages include The Free Thought Project, Filming Cops, Police the Police, The Mind Unleashed News and many many MANY more.
