Cryptocurrencies are basically digital currencies that's not owned by the banks, institutions or governments. Hence the word "decentralised". It's more owned by people who want to carry out exchange (buying and selling), payment of services etc without interference and yet at the cheapest fees possible.

Crypto is also known as a "Disruptive Technology". The banks are not happy, Governments are not happy.

Why?
Many millions and billions are out of their grasp in terms of fees, commissions, taxes etc.
Also because we have a new world money order and money dynamics is evolving/changing.

To store these new digital currencies which is fast becoming an asset you need a storage like your bank accounts.

Storage for your assets or crypto is called "wallets"

TYPES OF WALLET

Wallets can either live on your computer and/or mobile device, on a physical storage gadget, or even on a piece of paper

We have different types of wallets. They include:

- Web based Wallet e.g paxful, blockchain, coinbase

So basically wallets are where we store our crypto.

WALLET CHARGES/FEES

People are currently paying $28 on average to make transactions using the digital currency, according to data by BitInfoCharts. One person claimed on Twitter that he had to pay a $16 fee to send $25 worth of bitcoin from one bitcoin address to another

Some wallet charge on deposits, most don't. But they all charge transaction fee when you send funds out of them (from .25$ to 97$ like in blockchain wallet)

Are bitcoin wallets Safe

It depends on the version you are using or have to chosen to use.

Web based are considered one of the safest.

Mobile is considered the least safest of all as you can easily lose your private keys if phone is stolen or you have apps with high privacy levels on your phone.

Hardware wallet is the safest wallets. Trezor and Nano-S are the best. Trezor cost about $83 thereabout while Nano S should be about $53 to $60+ depending on your country and where you are getting it from.

I'll be making a post on the concept of blockchain. Watch out and Stay tuned!
