June 30 Days Writing Challenge - Life Hack - Day Nineteen: My Future Self

Fast forward to 20 Years…

I was on my laptop typing away and endlessly thinking of how did I deserve to be blessed with this life. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t win the lottery or anything but made my goals a reality.

I am still at the company where I work 20 years ago and have a stable job as part of the Sales & Marketing team. I am not the head but my salary is enough for me to live a comfortable life. For me, at the end of the day, it is not about the position but the learnings and earnings (which is of course higher than what I had before). It’s already 6 PM so it’s time for me to go home.

Commuting home, I thought about my 2 kids. They are now studying in a prestigious university. What makes me so happy is that they both got a scholarship grant from the government and on the private institution they are in. The eldest is studying Civil Engineering while my youngest likes technology so much that he took Information Technology. I like how they are heading because even though they are busy with their studies, they still make time to go home in our own house and spend time with their Mom and Dad.

Oh, by the way, hubby and I had already achieved our house goal! It is a 2-storey townhouse. We worked so hard just to pay for the mortgage and fully furnish it so our kids won’t worry about anything. When they are done with studying for the day I want them to come home to a clean and neat home. I am very happy that we continued and never gave up on this dream even though we fought tooth and nail for it.

My hubby already have a Toyota Innova which is not a high-end car but does the job well. It can take us to places without a hassle. He’s also is a successful entrepreneur. Business is booming and many investors wants to invest on his company. His food company also has a restaurant and food chains that are branching out non-stop. He’s now focus on making his company go international and competes as a top food corp. in the Philippines.

As for me? Besides working in the corporate world, I have fulfilled my dream to become an author. However, I am an anonymous one and goes with a pen name because I don’t want people knowing who I am. I still want to live a peaceful life and be happy walking on the streets with no one knowing me. I am still active on Steemit and even invested 1,000,000 SP so I can reward in my own way different authors and support them and help them to grow here. My followers are the first one I upvote and discover other people that I think deserves them.

So far, I like where I’m heading and I hope more goals will be achieved soon too. Now I cannot ask God for anything else but to guide us in our journey. I thank Him everyday for all the blessings.
