If you're not Mining Vert Coin, you need to start
I wrote this article on Vert Coin a little while ago:
https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@embomb701/vert-coin-a-must-have-in-2018
So feel free to check that out but before you do consider this, Vert coin limits peoples ability to over mine this coin and levels the playing field for miners:
"Vertcoin’s algorithm is designed to resist the development of custom mining hardware and multipool mining, ensuring that transactions are validated by a widely distributed network and avoiding the selling pressure when large mining pools indiscriminately flood the market with freshly mined coins. Our developers have pledged to take whatever steps are necessary to protect this coin from specialized mining equipment and make sure that it will always be possible to mine with consumer grade hardware. This is great news for miners because it offers the opportunity for all miners to compete fairly with each other, and not have to risk falling victim to unscrupulous hardware manufacturers who may fail to deliver pre-ordered equipment." https://vertcoin.org/.
What this means is that anyone with a decent computer (not some special rig), gets a fare chance to mine Vert Coin. Someone might say, "Well Frank Vert Coin is only 7$ right now (Has seen about $10), why waste my time mining this?" To that I say, its 7$ now and it was 2$ a few months ago, what will it be by the end of 2018? If you can mine 2-4 Vert Coins a month at 7$ that's 14-21$ a month income, what about when Vert Coin is $20, then its 40-80$ a month. Vert Coin in my opinion should be valued at what Bitcoin Gold is currently valued at, I have done a side by side comparison before and it seem that ether BTG is to high or VTC is too low. Ether way I see VTC $40-50 by December 2018.
Vert Coin mining is not the only way to make money with your computer, here is another article I wrote on using your computer to make you money without you having to do anything aside from setting it up one time: https://steemit.com/crypto/@embomb701/a-bunch-of-was-to-put-your-computer-to-work-not-talking-pocket-change-here
Even if I am wrong and VTC only gets to $25 by December that is still 50-100$ a month. Ask yourself are any of you so rich you would turn down a 50-100$ a month income for doing nothing more then downloading a program, setting it up and leaving it to run? I attached as link to a video explaining how to mine Vert Coin by: MrSotko CryptoCurrency
This is all just my opinion I am not a financial advisor, please let me know what you think. Follow and Re-Steem if you found this useful please.

Some similarity seems to be present here:

It appears the author has cited this source in their work. Great Job!
you would also need to consider the cost of the energy to run your computer at high capacity, and also the impact that wear and tear might have when running at 100% for an extended period of time.
You need a decent GPU.
Mining for Vert Coin does not use a crazy amount of energy like most coins. www.whattomine.com
Yeah I know. But it still adds up and affects profitability if you calculate on today's prices, and you live in an area with high energy costs.
but if vert gets up to lite coin prices, it will be minuscule. And if you use that website, you can check to see if it will be profitable at current price. In my opinion Vert will be closer to $50 by years end, if not higher.
oh i agree. most calculations are made at current prices, but if you think prices will grow that high then you would obviously want to factor that in.
I'm very much on board with VTC - i've written a few blogs about it already.
Cool, so basically what my article is pointing out is that this coin uses less resources to mine, and mining is easier and everyone has equal chance to get in. So you should start mining it, no reason not to.
yeah, i never said your article was wrong. just that there's costs to mining (even if they are lower on VTC) as well as the fact that you need a decent GPU - CPU mining isn't very effective anymore.
