Steempoll : Gamification to solve the retention problem?steemCreated with Sketch.

in #steemit9 years ago

I had some thoughts about the retention problem we have here on Steemit, what if we motivate everyone with some extra Steem if they reach a new Reputation Level, so let's say for example if a user reach level 50, he get's 50 Steem as a bonus, like this he is motivated to keep going on. If he reaches 51 he get's 51 Steem and so on.... ( The amount of Steem its just an idea, could be less or more...)

So todays Poll is: Do you think it is a good idea that users receive a Bonus when they level up their Reputation? Click here to participate !

As well I like to present the result from yesterdays Poll about Steemsports:

The Poll is still live and ongoing, but so far we have 224 votes, thanks for this overwhelming participation.

Gamification for retention have been discussed multiple occasions, I think it would be better to give some background and pros/cons so that voter can make valuable choices. There are multiple parameters and voter should know these things...great initiative so far, I have one project which in development that is related to this :) keep it up...

feel free to make suggestions :) Its for a better Steemit...

No it is to easy to rig it . All these games that are being played on here have a high probability of being rigged . From this point onward I will be down voting any content that has a chance of being rigged . By rigged I mean non transparent .

Where does the bonus steem come from? I think helping people know that steemit isn't only about blogging but also about reading stuff, curation and forming lasting connection with amazing people will help a lot. This isn't core in people's mind. As I have seen in many comments where bots are discussed and trails etc, not everyone must blog on steemit! I think busy.org as well will help retention. A bonus will always encourage!
