Quick Start guide for mining ZCASH (ZEC)
Despite what you may of heard, mining ZEC can still be very profitable, even with AMD cards. With BTC currently on the rise, now is a great time to get started!
For the purposes of this quick start guide were going to assume you have you rig/cards configured. There are plenty of guides out the if you haven't :)
So first things first, in order for you to have a place to send the coins you mine, you’ll need a Zcash wallet address. This can be downloaded here: https://z.cash/download.html
Note: You can also use a hardware wallet such as Trezor, Ledger Nano S, or Jaxx, I currently use Jaxx.. its easy.
Next, you'll need the Zcash Miner!

Next Join a pool and Configure the .bat/config file.
My pool of choice is luckpool.org it's very stable and suits my needs. It's always worth looking around at other pools but for the purposes of this guide we will use luckpool.org
Open up the .bat/config (for the .bat right click and edit), for quick mining there are only two things you'll need too change.
Enter the pool address and chosen port to -zpool
Enter you wallet address to -zwal
Finally run your chosen Zcash miner! It really is that easy..
The awesome thing about ZEC is that even at relatively low hash rates, if you hit the block you'll get the jackpot! Which with luckpool is 1ZEC!!
Note: If you want to name your miner simply put .example at the end of your wallet address IE, t1Yx2icAhZfbH3yVDPMFuPnV4VYvvePzHE4.miningrig
I hope you find this guide useful, it can be used as a rough guide for other coins too.
