My view on the high cost of items in my country

Greetings, my fellow steemians friends. In Steem4nigeria, I hope you guys are doing well. i know the economy of our country is really treating us badly, but we can't give up. Let's try and maintain calmness and practice management because this is not time for luxury life. I want to appreciate the organiser of these contest @ruthjoe for organising such an interesting contest in this community to able us express ourselves.

WHAT IS THE SITUATION IN YOUR COUNTRY CURRENTLY? HAVE ITEMS IN YOUR COUNTRY INCREASED IN PRICE LATELY?

The situation in my country right now is beyond repair, starting with the petrol increasement that just increased from 865 naira to 1,200 naira even in some different areas it's more than that price. I'm not talking about food stuff that always increases every day. A tuber of yam is 5k, and the crate of eggs before was 4,000. Currently , the price is 6k . If i continue to mention all the things, that means I'm not going to answer other questions.

MENTION 5 ITEMS IN YOUR COUNTRY THAT HAVE INCREASED IN PRICE. HOW MUCH WAS IT BEFORE AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST NOW( IT WILL BE NICE TO ALSO SHOW THE PRICE IN STEEM)

Everything has increased in Nigeria. Could you imagine that the last currency( 5 naira ) that we have has not been useful again since many years because there's nothing you can buy with it. Now there's nothing you can buy with 50 naira, or perhaps you want to lick sweet they can give two pieces.
. A bag of sachets water that was sold before to me two for 500 naira last week is now 600 naira (price in steem currency is 2.16 steem) .
. Garri that we know as poor man food is now rich man food because poor man cannot afford it any longer. It sold 1,700 naira, but now 😭 3,700 naira converting to steem currency is 13.31steem.
. A plate of food in a local restaurant that was 300 naira is now 1,200 naira with abeg converting to steem currency is 4.4 steem.
. Soft drink coke before was 200 naira and now is 500 naira (in steem Price is 2steem)
. Toothpaste that was 700 naira before (the big one) is now 1,750 naira (tinubu). This is 6.3steem .

HOW ARE YOU COPING WITH THE DIFFICULTIES IN YOUR COUNTRY, AND WHAT DO YOU THINK IS CAUSING THESE DIFFICULTIES

My dear, it is very difficult for me and my people here in this country we are suffering from this zoo called a country. I just minimise my spending and cut off luxury life. The problem of this country that is affecting the economy is the bad government. They only care for their own, and families imagine someone in government looting billions of naira. That's to show how wicked and heartless the leaders are. If we all can do the right thing by sharing love with ourselves, i believe things we change, but some individuals see this period as an opportunity to make gain by increasing their goods at a high rate which is not good. It is not only the government that can make our country a better place. The masses are also the causes of the hardship ( yes) it's better for us to become one than to allow tribalism and longer throat to destroy our nation.

IF YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEAVE YOUR COUNTRY TO ANOTHER COUNTRY FOR GREENER PASTURES, WHICH COUNTRY WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRAVEL TO AND WHY?

I would like to travel to any country as much they're better than Nigeria, in as much their government is working. I'm okay with them . But to be sincerely speaking, our country is very nice to stay. The only problem is the bad leaders that we have . God blessed Nigerians with everything but denied them good leadership. Let's say the truth Nigerians haven't had a good leader since they got independent. Please, my lovely Nigerians, try and manage yourself in this hard economy, and if you have always helped your neighbours. God really knows why the situation is like this. Our prayers will be answered when we unit together and fight the bad government as one family.
