  The word "citizenship" is a status of belonging to a particular nation and having full rights and privilege within the country. As a citizen of a country, you have the right to participate in voting, contesting in the elected office, and the right to apply in federal employment opportunities. There are many ways of becoming a citizen, such as: nativity, internaltional passport and nationalising.

• How can one become a citizen of a country? Explain one way.

  Someone can become a citizen of a nation by birth, nationalisation, and registration. When once you're born in any country, typically, you have become a citizen. Then, by nationalisation, for instance, someone who's a foreigner to a particular nation for him to become a citizen of the country, he/she needs to nationalised and they're some procedure that you have to pass through and spend some years in the country before being nationalised. it's also depends on the country. In my country, Nigeria, as a citizen, you have to get what we call NIN (national identity number) or your voters cards.

  *Tax fees: As a citizen, it's compulsory to every business and individual to pay tax to the government to generate revenue to the government to deliver essential services to the masses.
  *Voteing: Partaking in the voting process during elections day. It's the right of the citizens to choose who will become a leader in the country.
  *Obedience to law and order: As a citizen, you have to obey the laws and orderliness in the country.
  *Environmental preservation or conservation: it's the process where the citizens and the government join hands by protecting the natural environment. As a result of observing the sanitation day

  Steemians is someone who's a member of the steemit platform, and before you become a steemians there's a procedure that you will pass through before becoming a citizen of steemit. The procedures are completing your introduction post, which is your achievement 1, and when it's been verified by the steemit verifiers and you received a welcome notification automatically, you have become a steemians.
