Quarantine Weekends Are For...
brunch and anything else that screams more fun!!
Woke up pretty late today, 9am to be precise and I only got out of bed at 11. And by the time we got to brunch, let's just say it was lunch time!
I love slow weekends where we just can be lazy and do things we'd not normally do on weekdays, like letting the kids do whatever they like as long as it's not harming them or anyone else. Little as they maybe, kids also crave some sense of independence, it's great to grant them that.
Brunch was great, some bread, cheese, fruits, coffee and tones of water. Because weekends are also great to hydrate for the drinking that happens later on.
Talking of which, what is your go-to drink of choice for the weekend? Thinking of making use of my mint leaves today and haven't the slightest idea for cocktails. I might just have to experiment and see how that goes.
After brunch, I like to chill by this hammock and create content, read a book, listen to music, etc as I watch the kids do their thing. It's very calming on days they are chill.
The best time on this hammock lately is 8.00pm. When the entire neighborhood claps and cheer for the health workers. I think it is currently on-going in the entire country. It's one of the smallest gestures we do to appreciate those that are putting their life on the line to help end this pandemic and its spread. All the neighbors and their kids come out, clap and jump up and down of some days. That little cheers gives us hope for a better tomorrow, I love it.
I am thankful for weekends. Not the most ideal, but life is a blessing currently and I intend to embrace it fully. Whatever you do, remember to part yourself on the back and appreciate yourself for surviving it, it's more than enough reason to be thankful for.
Also, remember to eat and drink yummy but healthy food. It's the little thins guys!
XO
