(ESP/ENG) En la forma en que te amas a ti mismo, ama también a los demás / In the way you love yourself, love others as well
La humanidad ha llegado a un punto muy crucial e importante en su propia existencia. Nadie puede negar que estámos al borde de una feroz y peligrosa guerra nuclear. Algunos expertos afirman que estamos al borde de una "tercera guerra mundial". Lo cierto es que deberíamos preguntarnos si se ha perdido la sensibilidad humana o si se ha anulado o neutralizado el amor de un ser por otro. Al paso que va la humanidad, parece que prevalece el odio y no el amor. Intentar aplastar al otro parece ser la ley de la destrucción. Como seres humanos y pensantes, tenemos que hacer un alto en el camino y razonar muy delicadamente hacia dónde vamos y qué es lo que realmente queremos. Si quiero el bien para mí, no puedo conseguirlo pisoteando a los demás. Si busco el bien para mí, también debo buscarlo en la colectividad. Es necesario considerar y reflexionar sobre las palabras que el apóstol Pablo dijo a los gálatas: "Porque toda la ley se cumple en esta sola palabra: Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo" Gálatas 5:14.
Humanity has reached a very crucial and important point in its own existence. No one can deny that we are on the brink of a fierce and dangerous nuclear war. Some pundits argue that we are on the verge of a "third world war". The truth of the matter is that we should ask ourselves if human sensitivity has been lost or if the love of one being for another has been cancelled or neutralized. At the rate humanity is going, it seems that hatred and not love prevails. Trying to crush each other seems to be the law of destruction. As human beings and thinking beings, we have to stop along the way and reason very delicately about where we are going and what we really want. If I want good for myself, I cannot get it by trampling on others. If I seek the good for myself, I must also seek it in the collective. It is necessary to consider and reflect on the words that the apostle Paul said to the Galatians: "For all the law is fulfilled in this one word: You shall love your neighbor as yourself" Galatians 5:14.

Si nuestros líderes y gobernantes se hubieran tomado el tiempo de reflexionar sobre los consejos de Dios para el bienestar de la humanidad, seguramente la situación que estaríamos viviendo ahora sería diferente. Dios manda que el amor prevalezca en las relaciones humanas. No se trata de un interés particular sino colectivo. Se trata de procurar el bien para toda una sociedad o nación, y no el mero egoísmo, que crea un clima tenso de discordia y guerra. Si como me amo a mí mismo, también amara a los demás, sin duda viviríamos en un ambiente de armonía y paz. La humanidad actual necesita un instrumento que difunda la paz y no un arma nuclear que aniquile a la mitad de una ciudad o población. Debemos observar con firmeza que el consejo de Dios para preservar la humanidad es el amor y no el odio. En la actualidad, la guerra violenta ha dejado multitudes muertas, niños huérfanos, ancianos y mujeres desprotegidos, así como un gran terror psicológico por los efectos de la guerra.
Es necesario que miremos en nuestro interior y reconozcamos que hay un gran vacío en nuestros corazones, que sólo Dios puede llenar para que podamos llegar a amarnos a nosotros mismos y a los demás.
If our leaders and rulers had taken the time to reflect on God's counsels for the welfare of humanity, surely the situation we would be living in now would be different. God commands that love should prevail in human relationships. It is not about a particular interest but a collective one. It is about procuring the good for a whole society or nation, and not mere selfishness, which creates a tense climate of discord and war. If, as I love myself, I also loved others, we would undoubtedly live in an atmosphere of harmony and peace. Humanity today needs an instrument that spreads peace and not a nuclear weapon that annihilates half of a city or population. We must firmly observe that God's counsel to preserve humanity is love and not hatred. Today, violent war has left multitudes dead, children orphaned, old people and women unprotected, as well as great psychological terror from the effects of war.
We need to look within ourselves and recognize that there is a great emptiness in our hearts, which only God can fill so that we can come to love ourselves and others.

Si como te amas a ti mismo, amaras a los demás, seguramente no habría guerras. El amor vence al odio y la paz a la guerra. Vivir en armonía mejora las relaciones humanas. Tener un gran sentido de la convivencia nos ayuda a ser portadores de amor y paz. La humanidad sería mejor si llegáramos a amarnos como nos amamos. No hay lugar para la discordia, el odio, el orgullo, la arrogancia y la hipocresía, cuando la fuerza del amor vence todo lo que se opone a la unión y a la paz. Es necesario reflexionar que como cristianos jugamos un papel importante en la sociedad, que puede ser diferente si nos convertimos en verdaderos mensajeros del amor de Dios para todas las naciones. No olvidéis que si procuráis el bien para vosotros, debéis procurarlo también para los demás.
If the way you love yourself, you would love others, surely, there would be no wars. Love conquers hate and peace defeats war. Living in harmony enhances human relationships. Having a great sense of coexistence helps us to be bearers of love and peace. Humanity would be better if we came to love each other the way we love each other. There is no place for discord, hatred, pride, arrogance and hypocrisy, when the power of love defeats everything that stands against union and peace. It is necessary to reflect that as Christians we play an important role in society, which can be different if we become true messengers of God's love for all nations. Do not forget that if you procure the good for yourself, you should also procure it for others.
