Don't give up and be persistent in prayer

Persistent prayer moves God and helps us to obtain the righteousness we want. It is not a matter of coming to the throne of God and making a request and expecting that we will immediately get the answer. God is pleased that we are in His presence and often delays His answer to keep us close to Him. Do not give up at the first attempt, but persist until you see God's answer covering your life. Persevering in prayer is very important to achieve what we have asked God for from our hearts. The Lord Jesus teaches this to his disciples through the following parable:

Jesus also told them a parable about the necessity of praying always and not giving up, 2 saying, "There was a certain judge in a certain city who neither feared God nor respected man. 3 And there was also in that city a widow, which came to him, saying, Render unto me the righteousness of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, neither regard man; 5 yet because this widow troubleth me, I will do her justice, lest, when she cometh continually, she wear out my patience. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge said. 7 And will not God execute justice for his elect, who cry to him day and night? will he delay to answer them? 8 I tell you, he will soon execute justice for them. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth? "Luke 18: 1-8"

The parable teaches that the widow persistently came to the unjust judge so that he would give her justice, and the judge, so that the widow would not bother him any more, ended up giving her justice. If this wicked man, who did not even fear God, did justice to the widow, how much more will God do justice to his children, since God is a just judge par excellence.
God is kind and his mercy endures forever. Every good gift comes from God, who will always move in mercy to give us those things that we ask of him according to his will. Our problem is that we ask God for something and then we do not have enough patience to wait for God's answer. We want God to answer us immediately and give us what we are asking for. If we do not know how to ask and wait, we will be continually disappointed. God is not a toy that we can manipulate at our whim and caprice. God is a loving and just King, who has good and important things for us and that only He knows when to give them to us.

If we become discouraged because we do not see what we ask for, we will be in great danger of being manipulated by the enemy. The widow was constant in her request and the unjust judge was forced to comply because of the widow's persistence in her request. In the same way, God is pleased when we continually come to Him to ask for what He has promised to give us. Never give up on your requests, trust that God hears you and at God's chosen time, you will receive your assignment.

Do not faint or grow weary in your petitions before God, for the Lord blesses and prospers those who persevere. Discouraged people are not pleasing to God. Be a warrior in prayer and be clear in your request before God and you will receive what you have asked God for in your heart.

We have to understand that from the very first day we make our request before God, He hears us lovingly and sends His angels to give us the answer to our request. The Bible tells us about the prophet Daniel, who had made a request to God, however, the answer took 21 days, simply because perverse angels of darkness had impeded the angel that God had sent with the answer to Daniel. On the spiritual plane we do not see what is happening when we pray, but this word teaches us that there is a spiritual battle caused by the prayer of Christians on earth. There is spiritual warfare and prayer operates as an offensive weapon that gives victory to believers who are persistent before God. The Lord hears us immediately, but when he sends his messengers to us, they face war with the fallen angels who want to prevent God from blessing and prospering us. It is necessary to persist in prayer as Daniel did to achieve his goal. Persistent prayer is very effective and brings us victory.

And the angel said to me, "Daniel, do not be afraid. God heard your prayers from the first day, when you tried to understand that difficult dream and humbled yourself before him. That is why God sent me to tell you that you have seen what is going to happen to your people in the future. "I was going to come earlier, but I could not do so because, for twenty-one days, the angel in charge of guarding the kingdom of Persia prevented me. I had been left alone, together with the kings of Persia, but Michael, one of the most important angels of all, came to my aid." "While the angel Gabriel was telling me all this, I remained silent and just looked at the ground. Then someone else, who also looked like a man, touched my lips. I said to the angel who was with me, "My lord, what I am seeing fills me with anguish and leaves me without strength. How do you want me to speak to you, when I can hardly breathe?" "That personage touched me again, and gave me new strength. He said to me, "Do not be afraid, and do not worry about anything! Rejoice and be of good courage, for God loves you!" "And as he said this to me, I felt my strength return. Then I said to him, "My lord, now you may speak to me, for I have new strength." "Then that personage said to me, "I have come to see you because I have to fight with the angel in charge of guarding Persia. When I finish fighting him, the angel in charge of Greece will come. In my fight against him, I can only count on the help of Michael, who is the angel that protects Israel. Now I am going to explain to you what the book of truth says". "Daniel 10: 13-21"
