Be patient, you need it

in HeartChurch4 years ago

There are events in life that rob us of our peace of mind, because we simply do not know how to wait. Patience is synonymous with calm and tranquility. If we lack it, we will miss the most glorious event we are waiting for, which is the "Coming of Christ in the air to take the church to the marvelous and splendorous third heaven". The apostle James wrote:

Therefore, brethren, be patient until the coming of the Lord. See {how} the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient therein until he receives {the} early and {the} latter rain. "James 5:7"

The word of the Lord encourages us to "be patient", if we lack this wonderful fruit of the Holy Spirit, we will miss out on many blessings that God promises us in His word. Surely, we have many family members and friends who have not yet received Christ as Savior, however, there is a precious promise from God, in which He tells us: "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and all your household". This promise is very cool, because if we believe in Jesus Christ, God's promise is to save our family. Surely, dear reader, you will tell me that you have received Christ in your heart for many years and God still has not converted some of your children. I want you to know that if you are not filled with patience and wait in praise of God, you will not see this promise.

It is important for you to know, friend who follows the reading of this post, that there was a man of God, who received the promise of a son and God took 25 years to fulfill him, it is about Abraham, who patiently had to wait 25 years for God to fulfill what He had promised him. Patience also exercises our faith and our capacity to wait. God does not delay because He wants to make us suffer, but simply because He wants to purify our faith and our patience. I know many Christians who have despaired in trials and have returned to the things of the world. It is necessary to be very patient, so that we can enjoy all the things that God wants to teach us while we wait for the fulfillment of a promise.

If we are quiet in the waiting room while an event that has happened to us passes, we will attain maturity and wisdom from God to also be patient while we wait for the rapture of the church. Two thousand years have passed and the Christian people are still waiting, all this waiting has been possible, as long as the fruit of patience is exercised in each believer. If we fall into impatience, chaos and disappointment await us.

There are unfortunate situations in life that do not pass as quickly as we would like. In the case of the pandemic, we have had about three years waiting for this pestilence to pass and the sad thing is that it has taken to the grave many people we know as family and friends. We want this storm of disease to pass as soon as possible and we have had to develop a lot of patience within the four walls of our homes locked up with our children.
In short, if we do not have patience with this "Covid-19" much less will we have patience to continue waiting for Christ. We should not be discouraged, but believe God, who strengthens and enables us so that we do not lose our calm and tranquility while the events that must occur in life take place. God gives us the courage and strength as we continue in the process of patience, in order to obtain God's purpose in our lives.
