Eloh Projects - Animals
FAUNA SERIES
The following series, called loosely, "Fauna" is a collection of animal interpretations created over the last 4 years. I have settled down a bit in my middle thirties and I don't often get the chance to commune with the biosphere much anymore, so these are a bit of an homage to great memories.
Royal White Elephant
The Royal White Elephant was a gift for my sister's 18th birthday. She has a dream of traveling to Thailand and I wanted to give her something to remind her to hold on to her vision.
It is believed that the more white elephants that a king kept in his stable, the more prosperity Thailand would be greeted by under his reign. The Royal White Elephant is perhaps one of my most widely distributed and, by extension, best known images. Prints of it are in collections from California to Florida to India.

Psyjelly
Jellyfish are definitely some of the most mysterious and entrancing lifeforms on the planet. The deep sea varieties are super alien-like and emanate strange whispers of conscious sentience. If you look closely at the crown of the Psyjelly you will see a rim of faces alluding to this impression.

Nomad
Nomad is the last of my images created in 2017 and fashioned in a new wave style of neon vibrance. It is a bit of a departure from the other images due to the use of 3D, repetitive geometric assets and definitely a bit more loose and abstract in approach. I stuck to the formula of a still background but introduced some stylized borders for a touch of variety and as a balancing act of the dynamic motion at the base of the giraffe.

Hunter's Buck
Hunter's Buck was made back in 2013. "Hunter" is my sister's middle name and rings well the image of a deer. My sister wouldn't hurt a fly so the title is enhanced in its irony all the more by this:)
Below is a process video of Hunter's Buck sped up 100x. The image was created in Corel Painter 13. I put together the music several years ago in Reason 3. The mix is not mastered, and quite sophomoric really, but I think it plays decently with the build up of the image.
MASTER FAUNA SERIES
The Master Fauna Series was created for Andrew Wasielewski and his traveling Wazshop.co. The series has been translated to tapestries and pins and, depending on how well those do in the marketplace, maybe sublimated hoodies.
The Wise One
Peering through the falsehoods of ordinary reality, The Wise One is rooted in vision and plays in the fabric of the Universe. He is a symbol of Insight and guards the gates of the forest deep. The Wise One is surrounded by the primary form of the Square symbolizing the four directions, stability, confidence and completion.

The Master Hunter
The Master Hunter is ruler of the night and navigator of the Unseen. She is surrounded by the primary shape of the Triangle symbolizing cunning, extroversion, mental acuity and decisiveness. She is lit from below edifying her posture of Mastery

The Master Buck
The Master Buck is my personal favorite in the Master Fauna series. The symbolism and appearance of the animal is more aggressive than the others, which is not my favorite vibe but it just feels the most cohesive in general.
I had originally wanted to complete the trifecta of primary shapes by surrounding the Buck with circles. I tried many approaches and positions for the circles to no avail. I became quite frustrated with the piece before realizing that there was no law that said I had to abide by the objective I had set for myself. And so I broke my own rhythm by using pentagons. This "creative license" proved to be just the touch necessary to finish the piece and complemented the already present energy.
The pentagon is symbolic of the 5 elements, including Ether. Its inverted position is the dark aspect of Venus, consort of Mars i.e. the Master Buck.

Hunter's Buck video is just so inspiring! I work the same way: try something and if it doesn't work move it around. I find it being a rather slow process sometimes and some people don't always agree with this way to work but hey- I am slow and not ashamed of it. It is nice to see that other people have their own organised kind of chaos ways to create.
Yes. I definitely spend a lot of time pushing and pulling and sculpting my images. I probably could benefit from planning them out better but then I may just find another way to do the same thing. It really seems to be part of the technique i.e. taking wrong turns, happy accidents etc. Anyway, I am sure we will talk about this more across the kitchen table:)
Also. The owl. <3
Wonderful creations, Sean! It's always a pleasure to go through your process and creativity. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed this @venalbe:)
These are pretty dope! I think the elephant and jellyfish are my favorite. Jellyfish are super cool lol
Yes I agree
Amazing imagination and talent @elohprojects! Any more planned at some point in the future...?
Thank you. I am sure I will be painting more animals at some time in the future. Though I have painted a lot already so I am definitely interested in doing other things.
The art progress video was really nice to watch, beautiful artwork!
I am happy you enjoyed it. Thank you @amethystrosee

digging these...especially the elephant for some reason.
Yes there is something quite nice about that one compared to the others.
Your work is beautiful, I absolutely love these pieces. The owl is my resonant image, beautiful work brother. Epic stuff! 🙏

Thank you.
I love the elephant!
