This is one of my favorite drawings from the collection I lost. I drew this with a pencil over the course of about two hours. Sharpening your pencils with an exact o knife is definitely the way to go.

The best thing I ever learned in the drawing classes I took in college was to draw things found in nature for practice... and if you've never tried using a magnifying glass to see every intimate detail of your subject, then you're missing out- and that's the second best thing I ever learned in class! It's insane how you can pack true-to-life intricate detail into a drawing. It's like a way to make something larger than life, so to speak.

Those things in #NATURE are kinda what I enjoy drawing - apples, birds, trees, river, sky..
