Achievement 3 by @ella-jacob TASK: CONTENT ETIQUETTE
Good morning to this wonderful family and great minds I am @ella-jacob and I am so excited to be here once more to perform the next achievement task which is 'CONTENT ETIQUETTE'. The main purpose of this content is to help make individuals here on steemit become great, positive and creative thinkers and also to be resourceful, make valuable researchs and finally to be able to make contents from one's own point of view and not from another individual work or findings which generally is prohibited in any organization especially without acknowledging the author of such material or findings.
I will like to define the term "CONTENT ETIQUETTE" as defined by the English dictionary.

Content etiquette are set of rules that helps people understand how they should behave in a particular business or profession. It helps guide individuals on how to post ideas, contents, materials and information on a platform as in this case steemit.
Plagiarism in a common language can be defined as Copying of another person's ideas, text or other creative work, and presenting it as one's own, especially without permission.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism has been one pressing issues on the internet today and so they are different types of plagiarism which I will be discussing with you in simple terms.
1 - DIRECT PLAGIARISM. This is when the plagiarist copies and paste the text from someone else's work and neglect to cite the source or remove quotation marks.
2 - MOSAIC PLAGIARISM. In this case the source of the work may have been mentioned by the plagiarist but doing this without acknowledging the quoted part promptly and insert all the quotation marks correctly, then it is said to be plagiarism and also changing the location of the main source.
3 - SELF PLAGIARISM: This is one of the common types of plagiarism, where writers often students, copy and paste part of their previously submitted papers. If the student submits the same paper for two different class projects without asking the teacher, then that is considered self plagiarism.
4 - ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM: It is when the plagiarist misquotes the phrases or parts of the text they have taken from the source material, does not cite the source adequately, or cites a wrong source.
WAYS TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
There are different ways and also effective ways to avoid plagiarism which is discussed below.
1- Direct citations of contents from the source should be noted.
2- stop receiving recognition and taking credits on contents that is not yours.
3 - A clear research is necessary to be carried out on information you are about to embark on to avoid plagiarism.
4 - make sure you use plagiarism check app to cross check your work so as to avoid plagiarism.
AN EXAMPLE OF A WELL CITED TEXT
APA in-text citation style uses the author's last name and the year of publication, for example: (Field, 2005). For direct quotations, include the page number as well, for example: (Field, 2005, p. 14). For sources such as websites and e-books that have no page numbers, use a paragraph number.
