Attending an empowerments program for women organised by the government

By the sound of my alarm clock, I woke up early with a sleepy eyes to a cold and frosty morning. Then after my morning prayers and meditation, I was refreshed and happy with renewed strength to engage in my daily activities.

I resumed my house chores and prepared breakfast for everyone. My hubby and my brother in-law went to work after breakfast while I fed baby and get her ready for a workshop I needed to attain. My friend sent me the link to join and register my name on an empowerments program that the government of my country initiated to empower women from my state.

So yesterday was the launching of the project so all the registered women were invited for workshop.

I dressed up and leave the house to the venue of the workshop, I only had a little knowledge of what the workshop is all about because I didn't really understand the project. The workshop really helps me understand what it was about and how the project will be carried out.

Anyway, although I don't really hope on the outcome of the project but atleast I appreciate the fact I was there to gain some experience and also have fun with the different cultural displays that were carried out there.

On arrival, the crowd was so much that I was discouraged but then I decided to exercise a little patient to hear what they have to say. While waiting, I showed my baby the art work in the venue and she admires it. While touring, I met with some women who brought their farm products to the venue, my baby started crying for apple. I bought a portion and wash thoroughly then gave it to her.

The leader of the project in my state, address the crowd, guiding everyone on how to fill the form, and that will guarantee us to enter the hall for the workshop.

Many farmers brought their farm products and showcase for selling, they also made a massive sales. It was so thoughtful of them to have bring their goods for sale.

The cultural displays at the venue was amazing, I enjoyed the cultural dance that was displayed. The organiser of the workshop also gave a speech of which she mentions that she is sent by the president of the country to empower women. Their goal is to empower women in the agricultural sector to achieve wealth and food so as to eradicate hunger and poverty.

They also have other sponsors who were present at the venue to also encourage women to earn from the soil.

At the end they encourage all their attendees to register their name and hopefully wait for the project to begin through their local government of origin.

Well, I don't hope on such promises but atleast I was able to attend to gain experience and if at all anything comes out, I will be grateful.

We left there around 2 pm, went to my friends place and have some fun time, my baby also enjoyed the company of children for some hours then we went back home.

It was such a busy day.
