3D animation driven by audiotrack
As I am in the field of visuals and audiovisuals for a long time I always looked for ways to syncronize both sound and animation perfectly.
In after effects there is the Trapcode Soundkeys Plugin doing the job very effective and is highly flexible in range, filtering and
assignable to any parameter with numeric inputs.
But in 3D there are very cool ways to integrate audio specially into Cinema 4d.
The cool thing is that you can assign, transform or recalculate and edit the channels in c.o.f.f.e.e.-script_language so you can really get any usefull parameter out of plain music input. You can filter and equalize the sound as needed and you can focus on a specific frequency spectrum each time and multilayer one song driving multible parameters depending on volume frequency band or avg.volume within a frequency band.
I tried to drive the gravity and repulsion of objects in a full dynamic simulations and it worked
perfectly. here are the results from some tests.
here Swarm behaveour triggered by sound
here a example i did for a good friends soundtrack "Young - Maytreya"
the cool thing in this one is that all animation happens because of the musicinput.
