The Dentist's remark

Rabbit, vodka and wine.
Here on this table sat quite a few interesting individuals. Professionals of many subjects and different backgrounds. Amongst them, a couple of dentist. Upon my interaction and stating that Im Cuban, one made a remark.
“ Cuba’s dentists and doctors, are of the best of the best in the whole world”

Which I totally agree, and most everybody knows that. But the questions is...Why? Easy.
Doctors in Cuba don’t have tools. They lack the essentials, specially the high tech utilized in leading countries of the world. Pills? Medicine? Syringers? There are, sometimes. Sometimes they simply tell it this way, like when I broke my leg and told my parents...
“We don’t have calcium pills, which is what he needs. If you have relatives abroad, asked them to buy them for you”
… You think I’m kidding??? You can ask Cubans in exile.
But let me continue… Aprons, pens, paper, shoes… lets not talk about computers. How can a doctor perform their duties without essentials? How do they become the best?
Also easy.
Study the book. Study it hard. Understand every single technique, tricks and tips. There is no space for trial and error, there are no backups, no fancy technology to tell you what to do or how. This is the reason why Cuban doctors are amongst the best. There is no other.

Nevertheless.. lets continue, cause they also made the following remark.
“Israelite doctors are amongst the best as well.”

But wait, they have it all in Israel. The best minds, the best technology, and all the money in the world. This is true, Israel don’t mess around, not in any way, not in any professional field.
So this is what’s happening there, regarding medicine.
Its NOT monetized. Well it is, everything is, but their approach and ethics doesn’t allow them to put money over the well being of people. Unlike The United States of America. We’ve all been to the doctor, whenever we can, or if we have Medicare, if we can afford it; is it affordable? Us Americans know what it is like to go to our doctors with their PhD hanging in their beautiful office, gorgeous hospitals…
"Bla bla bla bla"

… Lets do this procedure before continuing. Lets inject you with some crap you don’t need, but I'm sure you will… and if it doesn’t work I will give you this other pill, which it won’t work, its not going to do anything at all, but the placebo effect will kick in and you will come back for more… over and over and over again… back to nothing, for nothing, for their humongous pockets to ever get larger (not Made in China pockets, they don't seem to break).

Americans… your addiction is too much. Your fucking pills, your fucking TV, the damn celebrities, stupid golf, and Donald Trump.
Wake up…
and look through the magic window. Your home’s window and get out.
Get addicted to world outside your world. Its what you need, all we need for the better of this country.

When I travel, I’m ashamed to say I’m American. But I am… However, I’m luckily Cuba to avoid such remark.
