My plans for Steemit - Dreaming of the Summer Art Academy and an independent lifesteemCreated with Sketch.

in #dream7 years ago

Hey there!

Up to now, I haven't made any plans for my Steem, but lately I started dreaming and I want to share my thoughts with you. In my profession it's necessary to define short- term and long-term objectives and this is what I want to do now:

1. Short-term objectives:

- Spend my Steem on the short trip to Hamburg which I planned for September and then write about this trip on Steemit.
( I already decided not to spend my Steem on it, but to will still do the rest with normal Euros. :-) )

- Earn and save my Steem for the Summer Art Academy next summer.
As you see if you look at my blog, I love painting and like to show my works. Unfortuntely I don't get around to paint or draw a lot in recent times, because there are too many other things and I can't focus on anything creative properly, I really miss it.
This is why I want to go this Summer Academy. It's one or tho weeks in summer in the art-school where I was a few years ago. You can visit different art courses during this week/ the two weeks. One condition to take part is to have enough money. The second condition is to have one or two weeks off (for me it's nor easy because everyone wants to go on holidays in August, so it's hard to get holidays during this time). The second condition is that you have to regsiter for this course as long as there are places available. (That shouldn't be the main problem.)

So I thought it would be a nice occasion to save and spent my Steem, because my Steemit-Blog is mainly about my art work.

2. Long-term objectives (or utopian visions?):

- Be wealthy enough to work less and have enough time and money to work as an artist.
Like the second point in my short-term objectives, I love working as an artist, but it's not my main job (because I don't want to depend on my art works and its presentation either) so I don't have enough time and money to work as an artist because I have to work as something else. (And I also have other hobbies and like spending money on odds and ends. I have to admit it...)

- Have enough money to work less.
First of all I have to say: I like my job. I like it, but I dislike being forced to work full-time and depending on it. It's nice working with people, it's nice to do what I was trained for. It's nice to help people and it's nice to achieve recognition for it.
But my job is very exhausting to me. It's exhausting psychologically, mentally and also physically. Sometimes I am very angry beause I am under pressure from above (profit, efficiency, facilitate others work and have more work because of that,..) or under pressure from my clients (complaints, expectations (justified and unjustified ones),...) and of of course my own expectations of myself. I wished I could work slower and less, but with a higher quality and some tranquillity. Sometimes I wonder if I will be able to to this until I am old enough to retire. If I have a bad phase I wonder if I'll become old enough to retire.
Okay, enough nagging about the job. Anyway, I think I would like my job better, and would be able to do it and bearing it better if I'd spend only half the time on it as I do now. Actually I even think I'd like my life better then.
I wonder if my boss will read this one day and what he or they will think about this then... :-I I guess they wouldn't be amused. I'd would be cool if I wouldn't have to worry about it.

-Have enough money to quit work, study arts and live in a flat without thinking about money. (The height of impossibility).

SUMMARY: I'm dreaming of being independent, free and living a joyful and fulfilled life.

P.S.: I know there are a lot of people who have much bigger problems than that and dream of having what is a matter of course for me. I hope I didn't annoy you. Maybe you would think the same and have the same issues if you were walking in my shoes.

Thanks for reading and I'm curious about your thoughts,
Elaine

Okay, enough nagging about the job.

Why? One can never nag enough about work situation of nowadays. :)

Good luck with your plans! :)

Well, I feel bad nagging too much about the job because, there are people who have worse conditions because they have no job or even although they have a job.
And because it doens't help to nag around. At least if you don't nag at the right people or do something except nagging. Then it just makes you bitter.

But thank you :-) I'll do my best, Steemit was a good hint ;-)

Don't worry... you still do it comparably less than my better half LOL.
Blogging is kind of a good medium to nag around, isn't it :-D ? A nice method to release some heat from the head.
And who knows, steemit would give the possibility to make those dream come true.

To be honest, I really felt much better after writing this article. Before that I was quite angry and despairing, after words still. But not that much :-) Dreaming is wonderful!

Maybe,... one day... You will hear about it :-D

Having no job in future is actually my aim ...

Yes, I know... And you aim even doens't look that utopical, right?

I keep my fingers crossed!

Best of luck :)

As a composer I also have similar dreams. Keep working a bit at a time and hopefull you will eventually reach your goals.

Okay, then I wish you good luck and that your dreams come true!

Ich drück dir auf jeden Fall die Daumen das deine Pläne klappen, warum denn auch nicht ?

Du weisst nie, wo dein Limit ist.
Einfach versuchen, was hast du denn zu verlieren?

Danke Rachel,

It's the vicious circle for the creative isn't it? Art doesn't pay the bills, so you need to work. Modern work doesn't allow enough personal time in which to create :( Best of luck with your goals, hopefully you'll earn enough steem to attend the art course. Followed and upvoted.

Yes, definately...

Thank you very much!

Your long term goal is pretty similar to mine. Keep it up :)

You too, I'll keep my fingers crossed :-)

always look forward. Great share, :-)

elainetheinsane your post is awesome I loved to read it... And I really appreciate it...
Plzzz check out the mine post too if you have a time.

We need blockchains of white communities to trade amongst themselves free of (((centralization))) We need community farming, volunteer firemen, an eugenics program equipped with a force to weed out the unfit for civilization. Homeschooling with life skills and upteaching rather than dumbingdown.
Liberty is great but truly need to be free:
