My Diary (11/09/2022): Spending time with family and practicing photography

Hello, my Crypto.Kids family here we meet again. I am happy that I am able to make another diary here in our community. I went home yesterday because I had something to settle nearby my hometown, so I continue to go home and work from a distance as it was approved by my line manager. So then, I had a chance to make a diary and tell you more about my village.

And....as I need to make photographs for my diary, it is good if I can present those photographs from different angles and methods. You may have understood that there are 4 main aspects that you have to meet before making good quality photos; which are "Focus", "Angle" and "Composition". I assumed that we are using a phone camera as our main device because if we are discussing using a DLSR camera it will be more topics to discuss.

I mentioned a few days ago that I would make a little post about photography even though I am not a photographer. Still, I had a chance to learn from two professional photographers. One is working for National Geographic Indonesia and the other is a freelancer from Franch.

Let's go to it first...

Normally we are using the default setting which is the full-auto camera on our phone, so if we are using the camera of our phone we just need to concern with two aspects only which are: composition and angle.

This morning I played with Fathiya in the kitchen and had fun with her while trying to feed her, but she prefer to play with a traditional rattan food cover. She loves to play hide and seek and definitely she will hide under the food cover.

This is Fatiya playing with a rattan food cover, and I took the picture using the "bottom-angle" camera with full-auto setting, Fatiya is moving and the light is low, and the result of the photo is not good enough.

After having breakfast, Fathiya took a book and start to look at the picture in it. She loves to do what her sisters do, and you can imagine that her sisters will have no chance to focus on reading the book while Fatiya is around.

Just to make a win-win solution, I took Fatiya to the coffee shop while I need to finish my report, doing my report and giving her healthy juice will save her sisters from doing homework and reading the book as their favorite thing to do. You know what?, I never had television, NEVER EVER. I had my own reason to build a strong basic education at home. When you love to read you will have a higher capability to analyze things. The proof of my method is that all of my sisters have better analysis skills at school compared to their classmate

I managed to finish the report within one hour, and this is time to bring Fatiya home for lunch and naps. Fatiya needs some room to play and relax in the fresher air. The bad thing about a coffee shop is the air commonly full of the smokers

Now I will show you our daily lunch and practice the way of taking proper pictures of food. Taking food pictures is slightly different than taking landscape pictures. You also need to consider the plating and the composition of the food that you photograph.

Meanwhile I have a good time, let's talk about the composition and angle. The composition of the photos is the object we put in the photo frame, we need to select proper object, with the good contras and if necessary we can adjust it with cropping in the photo editing program. Angle is the way we positioning the camera to get specific view of the object as we need to be, and having better artistic sense of the photos.

I will show you the example of the pictures's composition and the different way of angles here in the table below

Talking about the specific angle, I may need to show you some different angle in the pictures below while I can show you my village:

Eye-level angle
Eye level angle or Eye view is taking a normal picture at our eyes level, like in the pictures below:

This is the bridge to cross to my village, and we have flood every single years as the result of deforestation. When I was a kid, it was rare to have flood every year and the river is clean with clear water. The villeger kids like me love to swim in the river and having fun with friends every day after school. Once, I came back from school and not directly went home to change, but took a chance to swim in the river. Guess what, my mom came and took all my clothes and left me only underwear. Finally I went home trough the farming land while looking around when no one appear. Since then I always home first before playing with friends or go to the river to swim. LoL

I was involved in constructing the bridge as the construction and design advisor because I like the construction and drawing thing since I was in Junior high school. This bridge is constructed and funded by our villagers since 1995 and finished it in 2002 because we need to wait the fund to be collected.

This is the river now, this spot is where I swam with friend when I was a kid. It is sad I saw my place is totally change. Keep the forest if you want to have clear water in your river.

This is kind of banana plantation in my village, the land is belong to the village as the economic sustainability program. The profit of the farm will be used to develop the village and support the vulnerable in the village.

And here I will show you the road access and the house model in my village, it is very different compare to the house in the town like Lhokseumawe.

These picture are the common view in the village in Aceh, the house is constructed by the government to reduce the poverty in Aceh. These program has been rolled for few years in Aceh.

This is the abandoned house in our village and no one live in there for years. The wood has been rotten and not proper to stay anymore.

Instead of swimming in the river, those kids prefer to swim in the irrigation and ofcourse it is much more safer for those kids. But, the will never had a chance to test the adrenaline jumping from the bridge into the river LOL. This is how the kids in my village spend the day and playing with friends.

Ok. you have seen my village and the society, now back to my diary.

After lunch, I took my laptop and checking the reporting because I don't neet the internet to do it so. The main problem in my village is the phone network. I will not be able to open my steemit account without proper signal coverage in my home. That is why I need to go to the coffee shop in town to get connected.

Breaking from my work, I played with Fatiya and showing her the picture in the text book, but she was not happy laydown to the bed before I tong her into her swing bed for nap.

Ok. that is my day and my village. Now I will show you the village from the google map view

Do you see the special thing about my village?, look at the shape of my village, the red line is river that shape the village become a heart looking which mean love. And the people of my village are lovely, they share love any time any where. The red start marking is my mom home.

Now as the extra part of my post, I will show you some photograph I made.
