My Diary (07/09/2022): Wednesday is a waiting day!

Hi Meong what are you going to tell us? about your dairy??, go ahead and tell us your interesting day. But don't tell us your mouse hunting story okay, because I am sure that you have not caught anything since the last time you told me the hunting story

Ring ring....ring ring....Ohh gosh it was 5.30 in the morning, I woke up and turned off the alarm by touching the screen of my phone. Suree..as you guess it soo...sleep again. Wow fantastic life, but nope, just summoning my mind and ready to prepare the daily presentation in the morning call.

So, In my daily job assignment, I have an obligation to make a daily presentation slide in the morning meeting (we call it "Morning call") the call is from headquarters and there will be some big bosses that come from your neighbor country (guess it where...LOL)

Well, I need about 1 hour to prepare the daily presentation about the last day's progress update, even though it has been my daily task I always need to be very careful about bringing the issues up to high-level management, do you know why? Ssstt I need to avoid "many why???".

Today, I will bring you closer to my daily life, I have never told anyone yet. Staying in Lhokseumawe (A small town in North Aceh close to the beach (next time I will show you the picture of the community near the beach, okay?).

9.30 the morning call is over with a bunch of new tasks that I need to carry out, including conducting the social mapping of the project's impact on the fishermen's community. My day started in the early morning, but still in my room. without any fancy scenery outside the window, only the building and rooftop of another building nearby.

The meeting is over, and the next is going to the office, I chose to go to the office through the shortcut road of the beach, I wanted to save time and take some interesting pictures for you. Riding a motorbike is likely much easier on this road compare with the main road and the view is quite good too.

This is the river that goes directly to the river where the traditional boat takes berths for unloading the fish to the local buyer (I will show the complete map later)

I cannot stay longer at this spot and I need to go to the office to complete my daily task of the day. So, I continue my trip and finally reached my office. Actually, I have a very different job than the other team that needs to be in the office at 7 Am sharp. But I can be there at any time they need me to be, no matter of time, it can be mid-night or early morning or even in the mid-day. Just like today, I arrived at the office at 10.30 and no one questioned me, because actually, I am waiting for the vessel to come, but has not arrived yet. That is why today is a waiting day. I could not be as lazy as today when the vessel arrive or the trucking come to the working yard.

The harbor was still empty when I arrived there and no major activity in the open yard, so today I have a bit relax time and discussed with friends while enjoying the coffee. I am sure you want to see my friend as well, here they are:

He is Meong, my best friend to share my lunch or sometimes if I forget to keep it safe, he will ruin my lunch box for fun, but he is my friend

Giving clear instructions to my friends that will complete the task outside the office

Waiting and waiting, and finally, I got the news that the vessel will be delayed till tomorrow early morning. That is fine to go somewhere and have a cup of coffee. But I decided to go back to my room and need to take some rest before starting the final report of the week.

Ok, now I would like to tell you some tips that may be useful; to make our diary more interesting, you can tell us the detail of your day, about what you are doing. For example, You are going to the market (as your main activity), you can tell us about the story of the market itself, the detailed information about what they sell in the market. If there is something unique you can also describe it with the photograph. If your transportation is unique then tell us about your transportation. If your day spending by reading books, you also can tell us about the title of the book, the topic that you read, the most interesting thing that you find out in the book and etcetera in more detail. If your dairy is about traveling somewhere, it is better to tell us information about the place and what is the most special thing about the place and so on. Don't think that your friend has already known about the place, but think globally that your friend in other countries never knows your place and your daily life. That is the goal of making dairy. Think global, think that someone else needs to know about you and your specific activity as well.
