My Application for Community Curator February 2024

Reading the update from steemitblog regarding the community curator application for February 2024 Steemit Update [ January 15th, 2024 ] : Community Curators for February - Applications open, I would like to re-apply for the February.

My name is Nailul, I am 44 years old and a volunteer of two Non-Government Organizations, one is for natural protection namely Aceh Tracker, which actively campaigns for environmental protection by investigating and carrying out data collection on rare animals in the wild, and the other one is AOC (Aceh Ocean Coral) mainly concern on Fishermen Capacity Building for the Sea and Shore Protection for Sustainability Environment Protection, both of them has different functions and roles.

A summary of my story on this platform

My account name is @el-nailul I started my journey on Steemit on February 6th, 2018. However, as I was deployed to the remote area for Humanitarian Working Purposes I was inactive twice on the platform. I gained success on this platform by publishing high-quality content, which is proven by getting support from the Curie Curation Team who will only support publications with high quality, I started to support contests and was actively involved in commenting and upvoting the members on the platform. Earlier 2020, I had no smartphone or laptop so I was active for several months until I got a job in Banda Aceh and then re-activated my account again. Not long after I activated my account I became one of the SteemSea moderators and started to build the community with @anroja and other team members, curated the posts in the community, and also provided support to improve quality content in the community, and as the representative of Steem Foods from Indonesia.

My positions of responsibility on Steem

Since I reactivated my account again in September 2020, I started my journey by strengthening the STEEM SEA Community and becoming one of the MODs. Not long after I got tremendous support from the Steemit team I started to think of something bigger than earning for myself, hence Anroja and I started to establish Steem Amal and then the World Smile Project to support the vulnerable across community and country. I designed the project and took the lead to guide the team in constructing the roles and management in managing the project, determining the outcome, and budget planning for each program of the humanitarian project. Later on, I and Heriadi established the Steem For Better Life Community and started to manage various projects in the community, evaluate contests and proper reporting for the humanitarian project as well as community reports. I have also actively supported Steemians in the area by recovering their account and so far I have helped about 20 steemians who have lost their accounts to recover them properly.

Lately, in January 2024 I was selected as one of the curators and actively supported steemian who was eligible to receive support (club5050 and above) including the good comments till now with @steemcuratorXX. My priority is low reputation steemians who set burnsteem and in the club5050. Besides, as a community initiator, my role is to manage the team and support them where necessary by providing advice as well as moderating the posts in the community. Mostly, I provide advice for our MOD to keep an eye on and check for any abuse, farming accounts, plagiarism, and club status of the poster in the community and moderate them properly. I also support other steemians who need help and initiate the recovery account where necessary.

My professional skills

My professional skills in the real world are a Procurement and Logistic Supply Chain Expert. Besides, I was a survival trainer for the Wilderness's Explorer which is part of land navigation specifically for rainforest and jungle trackers and rescuers. Other skills that I have mastered with certification are Sea Survival and Vertical Rescuer. Recently I have had no job, but just a humanitarian volunteer and also support local NGOs for establishing revitalization of the Mangrove and other humanitarian projects. Working as a freelancer for social mapping, constructing a Logical framework for local companies, and supporting humanitarian activities.

My country and languages I can read fluently

I am an Indonesian living in Lhokseumawe - Aceh province, I can speak English fluently and can read and write in English, Arabic, and Bahasa. As the Acehnese my mother tongue is Bahasa Aceh. I can curate in English and Bahasa without using a translation engine or so.

My recent account statistic

Right now my reputation is 74.615 with a total SP is 20,720.14, I have delegated to a newcomer and communities up to 5,499.07 SP. My effective SP is 15,221.08 SP and I am in club status #club5050, and my SP has significantly increased from my last application which is about 1000 SP. I actively curate posts in the community especially Steem for Better Life and also other communities. My voting priority is the post with a minimum club5050 and above, but I also look at good quality posts for Low-rep steemians who have a low payout to support and encourage them to keep posting on the platform.

My subjects of Interest

I am interested in many aspects such as anything related to cooking, diary games, humanitarian action, environmental activities, education, photography, adventure, survival things, novels, and fiction. I have a wide range of interests so I have no problem in curating any subject or theme of post. I am also willing to check and curate the newcomer posts and comment on them to improve their post where necessary.
