I found this bird, probably a gull on the street on my way to work. He was afraid, ...

... confused and looked like he was in pain... he had a broken wing. I decided to take him to the vet right away (work can wait), he was being ignored by people passing by, and I couldn't do the same.

The Vet advised she had to put him to sleep😔, since the wing was already decomposing and even if she operated him, he was not able to go back into the wild anymore and somebody would have to take care of him for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, with 4 cats, a dog and a baby, we can't keep him.

At least he did not die in agony or was killed by predators. Regardless of how life is in nature, this bird was in a human concrete area, so I felt that I should help him💚.

I bring this sad story here because I want to encourage you to always give it a try to help when you encounter an animal in danger or hurt. Thank you!
