Why Nigeria need Steemit; ..and how we plan to take it to 20million Nigerians.

in #growth-ideas7 years ago (edited)

Nigeria is ranked 7th in the world in terms of Internet Usage ahead of Indonesia, Germany and Mexico and even with that grading which is impressive by the way; there are less than 10,000 Nigerians on Steemit.com out of over 180Million people. stng.png
Statistics shows that every 30 days, over 16million Nigerians are active on Facebook via mobile alone and records 7.2million logins per day. Nigeria is also Facebook's biggest market in Africa.
Now, Imagine how many Nigerians will flood Steemit that has better incentives than Facebook? Doing the math makes us believe that Nigerians need Steemit and the Campaign is on to get Steemit to 20million Nigerians.

Nigerians have been known to dominate the Music, Movies and Comedy scenes in Africa but have failed to dominate the writing and creative art scenes because there has not really been a worthy platform that allows for the reward of creativity.
Nigeria needs Steemit and there is not a better time than now, and as we know Steemit is a social network that pays both the content creators when their work gets upvoted, as well as the people who curate the best content on the site by upvoting others work..., a system that was never available to Nigerian Writers and Bloggers before now.

This movement is to help Nigeria and Nigerians by building a truly participatory and all-inclusive community where development will be the aim of every member irrespective of religion, age and gender.

WHY STEEMIT?
Steemit is the new REALITY, the next phase in the Internet of Things and taking Nigerians on board that train while it is still Steeming-hot is our target and that move will do us more good than harm.

.Steemit is a community fostering and participation website that if introduced to the teeming Nigerian youthful population will bring about more users to the steemit platform. Imagine a country that is ranked 7th in the world in terms of Internet usage having just about 20% presence on Steemit? The winning is endless and as we always say in our local palance, Naija no dey carry last o.

.Nigeria is just catching up on the Cryptocurrency revolution and so far we have stylishly become addicted to this new "Reality" and getting the Steem fever added is just what we need to curb some social vices.

.There will be employment generation through the adoption of Steemit as a platform for content creation.

.The #beyondOil campaign will be a reality through the adoption of Steemit as restive youths will channel their energy into creative purposes.

.The presence of Steemit will allow the Government design programs that will involve steemit into the lives of the youths. The Nigerian Government has been known to embrace such initiative when they become a part of the people.

.Steemit will help build in these individuals the entrepreneurial spirit through collaboration with their peers from around the world, because Steemit.com is about the people seeking to grow.

HOW WE PLAN TO GIVE NIGERIANS STEEMIT.
The Target of this Venture is to TAKE STEEMIT TO 20MILLION NIGERIANS BY 2018.

.Create a Steem-Nigeria brand that will be the topic of the campaign, forums and meetups. T-Shirts and Face caps will be produced that will carry the Steem-Nigeria brand and logo.

.Starting from this month of July there will be Steem meetups in 4 major cities across the country starting with Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja and Calabar.

.Each meetup will be designed with a target to register and setup at least 100 new users in and around the city. And also provide an education for the intending and new users.

.Vigorous campaign on Radio, TV and the newspaper media, also the churches and social centers will be used to disseminate the news of the platform that will get our children self-employed.

.Taking Steemit to our Colleges and Universities and providing prizes for winners in the Steem-Nigeria Debate which is meant to bring awareness to the people.

.Facilitating hub-like centers in Cyber cafes and school clubs for the sole preaching and adoption of Steemit by Ngerians and these centers will serve as registration and tutoring platforms.

.Every year, each Steem-Nigeria chapter will sponsor 2 people to attend the SteemFest in a bid to keep learning and keep living the Steemit vision.

.Collaborate fully with the #MinnowSupportProject which is dedicated to giving the unheard a voice and a place in the internet of things. And to show their undying support for the growth of a true Nigerian and African community, @aggroed the founder of #msp created an “msp-African bot” which is dedicated to helping Africans find their way around the steemit network. With the creation of the Steem-Nigeria brand, we expect to get the best out of the #MSP.

The Steem-Nigeria dream is now and we are committed to making it a reality. We are very convinced that there is no better time to put Nigeria on the Steemit map than now; and with the kind and always assuring support of the #MinnowSupportProject, we are optimistic the SteemitNigeria Project will strive.

So we present to you the Steemit Nigeria Project.

Thank you for reading and remember to upvote to make this a reality and follow for more updates.

How many princes will be at these meetups?

I think we will need at least 3 dozen princes to really get that Nigerian network effect going.

I wonder how we can convince princes to join?

no one needs to work so hard to get princes to come on board. they probably are already here but too selfish to carry the masses along. So do your part and the target will be met

we don't need princes, we need the people

I think he means it as a joke - Nigerian prince spam email reference

whatever he means by that is ok.., i won't play into anybody's fun

I am wondering that Nigeria is 7th in the world in respect of Internet users. thats great dude!!!

Nigeria is 7th in the world and also Facebook's biggest customer in Africa with over 7.2million logins daily. Imagine what that will mean for Steemit?

@ejemai, there are plans on ground for a Steemit In Nigeria conference and party this November and we just completed the proposal stage... https://steemit.com/growth-ideas/@ehiboss/growth-idea-for-steemit-through-a-steemit-in-nigeria-s-i-n-conference-and-party-annually-in-response-to-the-message-on-steem. Please try and make research next time in other not to cause confusion. Thank you.

Are you serious with this words you just spurt out on my page? Is Nigeria not a country of over 180million people living in 36states of the federation? How come talking about bringing more people into Steemit bothers you so much that you see it as confusion? If you have been doing so much how come I go out everyday to talk about Steemit to people and still manage to register at least 3 persons every time I go talking about steemit on the streets?
You better learn to be someone who isn't afraid of competition and be reminded, I had no idea there was anything like that and even research just showed that there was a guy who got some monies telling steemit about what he plans to do in November, while we were still in June. Don't come on this platform trying to play king or lord over anyone...Stay on your lane!
The Americans still organize their various meetups and no one seems to be confused, instead they embrace anybody talking about growing a community inside an already existing community.

Niceee , when is lagos peeps hooking up . I'm new here , i need more support to grow, Thanks
