Using the NIGERIA TAG on Steemit
We are a proud people with innumerable wealth and creativity. Whenever we show up you will always know us by our swag.
Naija no dey carry last at all ooo, but e be like say for Steemit matter, we wan take last and that is not supposed to happen.
Steemit is a wonderful platform where many careers will be made and also where many will be ruined, sad but it is the truth. During my campaigns for the #Project20millionNaija I was asked some very hurtful questions by some people who are genuinely concerned about the emergence of more Nigerians on the steemit platform. Now I am not sure what they will ask me this time since I am calling on Nigerians to embrace the Nigerian HASHTAG.
Some fear that since Nigeria is known to be home of Princes and Oil Barons with hidden/stolen wealth, our presence here may come with negative impact.
WHY DO YOU NEED TO USE THE NIGERIA TAG?
- Using the #Nigeria tag on steemit will make your post visible and valuable. Nigerians are known to rally around their own and lending the needed support to hardworking and creative minds. See what the nation has done for the music, movie and comedy industries. When we believe in ourselves we help ourselves, its just in our DNA.
The tag will help us tell our stories the way we want the world to know it, from this platform or any other.
- Using the #Nigeria tag will make it easy to encourage newbies and also lend them the needed support they have so yearned for as they first arrive here. Many people who are from Nigeria post Nigerian related article but do not get Nigerian readers to see and appreciate their work.
- A #Nigeria tag will make the community become known because when people search for news about Nigeria from any part of the world, they will be directed to the Nigeria Community here in Steemit and that too will bring visibility.
- A #Nigeria tag will strengthen our ever living and never failing unity in diversity, because it will help foster a strong community which will help create many more superstar writers and developers.
So join us today and use the Nigeria tag whenever you post an article and make sure it is Original because, Steemit is all about Original contents and Nigerians are best known for her Street Credibility.
There is no nation without its woes and its pride; sadly and gladly, we have ours.
So never mind the setbacks now, soon the world will celebrate you on yet another platform. They have celebrated us on Facebook, we own Twitter, we've bossed Blogspot, Instagram dey learn for where Nigerians dey.
Now, it is time to make Steemit our own.
I am proudly Nigerian and will never stop being one. I have taken it upon myself to make sure I preach the steemit gospel to my country men and there are other Nigerians here who are doing the same. You can do one more by using the Nigeria tag today!
Are you a Nigerian? Are you a lover of the community participation that steemit is about? Then upvote and resteem to send the message around.

Excellent post! The Nigerian community is full of great people and I'm really enjoying getting to know some of them. Since the posts are mostly in English and not always identifiable as Nigerian, it's a great idea to use the tag for them. I hope people also will see the @onequality post today about posting original content and avoiding any plagiarism issues. Good quality, original content posts that use the #nigeria tag will start to get more rewards.
Thanks @donkeypong, your continuous support for the growth of Steemit internationally makes it easy to spread the steemit message here in Nigeria. We will be constantly preaching the #nigeria tag and also original contents. Thanks for the support.
Supported! I'm looking for other Nigerians to follow on Steemit. So, this hashtag will help. :)
Our account follows all Nigerians we find so you can go through the list.
