hydrogen is the future of transport

in #hydrogen6 years ago

those that pay attention know that we have had the ability to go away from oil for a long time now. with nuclear plants, oil was technically no longer valuable as fuel. you could argue we have other tech that can replace oil, but lets stay "mainstream" on this one.

you might be thinking, electricity cant really replace oil, very impractical to make batteries for really large machines. and you would be correct. battery technology is not there yet, and was very far away before. we have been able to use hydrogen as fuel for a fairly long time however. this is a fuel that is everywhere, but does not form naturally in large quantities (on its own) on earth. hydrogen is very light, so it rises to the top of the atmosphere. this means you have to make the fuel. this cost energy. if you must burn oil for the energy. thats pointless. if you have "unlimited" energy, from the nuclear plant. hydrogen is an infinitely renewable energy. create it from water, then fuel you car by making it water again. the problem being that it must be made. so you need electricity in the first place.

i personally believe there are many energy sources our there we can use for electricity but for this one lets assume there is only nuclear. simply because it still works. hydrogen is a zero emission fuel, and we can easily make enough electricity to fuel society and hydrogen production with nuclear. if hydrogen is the correct fuel to use for transport right now. with the limited information of available tech. its definitely going to be the correct one if we find that only one of the many "fringe" technologies turns out to work. very easy to make hydrogen, you just need electricity. all the potential fuel sources do create electricity in some way (most in exactly the same way... its all just turbines)

society is pushing electric cars, with only the Norwegian power network being able to handle that. like most things, its a trap. makes sens for us only because we are an energy exporting nation. the true future of transport, is hydrogen. NEL a hydrogen company, has just finished their new shipping truck. it can run just like the once on oil, but leave only water behind. this is the perfect vehicle for for large cities. most pollution comes from goods transport, not personal transport. with the truck done and out for sale, and with the old narrative dying all around us. expect hydrogen to be the next push. it is actually the solution to oil dependency. the american empire must just die first however (opec went public and said they would stop selling oil in dollars if america did ((something)) we are very close to the end of the petrodollar, and thats the point where we go after technologies that can actually replace oil. i think that time is now. and i think hydrogen will be the next big thing. a reasonable solution to the transportation crisis. publicly we have been focusing on electric cars, but in silence we have made hydrogen trucks. its all a big misdirection.
