Pakistan bans cryptocurrencies

"In Pakistan, SBP has not issued license nor authorised anyone for the sale, purchase, issuance, exchange or investment in any virtual currencies.


Pakistan Central Bank (SBP) issued circular saying that virtual currencies including Litecoin, Bitcoin, OneCoin, Pay Diamond, DasCoin or any other (ICO) Initial Coin Offerings tokens are not legal tender, issued or guaranteed by our government. Even Pakcoin is also banned, which was the first cryptocurrency in Pakistan. Pakcoin was much cheaper than anything else.
