What will “Promoting” a Steemit post do?

The blockchain can continually contain the total edit history of posts and comments, therefore it will ne'er be utterly deleted. If you'd prefer to update a post so users cannot see the content via Steemit.com, you'll be able to edit the post and replace it with blank content for as long because the post is active. once seven days, the post will now not be emended.

What will “Promoting” a post do?
When you create a post, there's the choice to market it with Steem bucks. it'll then show up within the “Promoted” tab. The order that it seems within the list depends on what quantity the post was promoted for. Posts with a better promoted quantity are going to be over posts with less.

Steem bucks spent to market a post area unit paid to the account @egtech, that no one owns or controls. Once a user transfers SBD to @egtech, the Steem blockchain removes them from the currency offer. Details will be found during this official post.

You can promote your own posts, or posts that you just like from different users.
