ColorChallenge - Green Thursday - Under The Canopy
Hello Steem-Meisters,
Here's a photo taken by my young daughter last year at Howell Wood near South Kirby in South Yorkshire, England.

Looking up through Sycamore, Sweet Chestnut & Ash trees.
Sycamore [Acer pseudoplatanus] can be 'tapped' all year round for it's refreshing and nutritious sap liquid.
Sweet Chestnut [Castanea sativa] produces edible 'nuts' in Autumn although unlike most nuts they are over 50% carbohydrate.
Ash [Fraxinus excelsior] is a tough hardwood and used quite often for tool handles (axes, spades, hockey sticks, etc.) due to it's ability to absorb shock and resistance to splintering. It also coppices quite well making it suitable as a sustaining source for charcoal and firewood.
Many thanks for stopping by,
Rob.
Great shot.I like it.
Much appreciated :)
