YOUR WORDS ARE POWERFUL
What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. (Psalms 34:12-13)
How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove? (Job 6:25)
Your world is as rich as your word. Nothing impoverished your life like your words.
“You are to speak to your mountain not talk about it”. You don’t describe the situation but rather declare your expectations. Every spoken words goes forth to fulfil a purpose, therefore learn to speak purpose driven words. What is in words that makes it powerful, let’s examine one today;
Words are seeds (Luke 8:11-15): Every time you speak, you must be reminded that you are sowing seeds and every time you listen too, you must also understand that seed are being planted in you. Every seed sown is guaranteed of a harvest. You will surely reap the harvest of every word spoken. Be careful not to allow the pressures of today make you speak evil into your tomorrow. So what kind of seeds are you sowing with your words? Every seed requires time to grow when sown. It may take time but it will sure sprout and become a full harvest.
The best seed to sow is the seed of the word of God.
Keep planting (always saying it) no matter the situation and it will yield a harvest of testimony. What is written is superior to what is happening in your life. God’s word is prophetic so we must keep speaking it over our lives, family, businesses and careers. You don’t need anyone to prophesy into your life, the bible has enough prophecy for you and the future. Prophecies are seed that must surely bring harvest because God’s word is an incorruptible seed, meaning the harvest is ever guaranteed.
Another seed you must seek and sow is the seed of wise counsel.
Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. (Proverbs 19:20)
Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out. (Proverbs 20:5)
You must be a man that is given to counsel. Many business/families are ruined not because of the devil but because of foolishness. Seek wise counsel. Let someone who knows it better talked to you while you just sit and listen. Because what you keep hearing determines what you keep doing. When you heed counsel you are simply buying into people’s wealth of experience hence you need not experience such.
Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. (Proverbs 11:14)
Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war. (Proverbs 20:18)
Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty counsel. (Proverbs 27:9)
Speak with consequence in view.
Bold Speaking: Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips that only wisdom flows out of it.
Wisdom Tonic: “Words… so powerful. They can crush a heart or heal it. They can shame a soul or liberate it. They can shatter dreams or energize them. They can obstruct connections or invite it. They can create defenses or melt them. We have to use words wisely”.
Truly, words are powerful
Our words and the power behind our meditation are the two strongest tools God has given to us
