RE: I NEED YOUR HELP TO GET PEWDIEPIE ON DTUBE! // Exclusive DTube video 294

Going for the biggest YouTuber won´ t change anything. He is making a bank with YouTube no matter how much he might dislike it. For him to move from YouTube to DTube would be really foolish atm. Mid-tier YouTubers like Mumkey Jones, Rusty Cage etc. would much easier join YouTube since they are much more impacted by the changes.

He is actually making far less than he used to, take a look at this article: https://www.dailydot.com/upstream/pewdiepie-youtube-ad-revenue/?tw=dd YouTube’s most popular vlogger says he’s not making enough money on the platform.

In a video released Wednesday, PewDiePie, who has 62 million subscribers, said he’s basically a hat salesman these days because of his decreased earnings.

“Honestly, legit, I am making more on selling these hats this month than I’m making on ad revenue, despite uploading daily content,” he said. “Do you understand how bad ad revenue is? I might as well not even call myself a YouTuber, I’m a hat merch, I’m a hat salesman, at this point. That is my profession."

That was a different time and space for YouTube, that was at the peak of videos getting claimed by other companies and in a way that is a satire near the end. But the entire point is someone that big won´t think twice about a platform like DTube unless YouTube literally wanishes from existance or until STEEM and SBD do go bazerk.

YouTube is currently being mismanaged into the ground, they won't vanish, but they are pushing every individual content creator that isn't part of a bigger company (like Disney, for example) away from YouTube. So I'm hoping that this will make bigger YouTubers at least consider alternatives such as DTube. And yes, this is a long shot and probably won't work, but if it does work (on the off-chance) the steem blockchain will finally get some recognition
