Hello Steemians, my name is Edward, I'm from Russia, I'm over 55 :))
I was born in Kazan – this is one of the cities where the 2018 FIFA world Cup was held.

Russia is a beautiful, very multi-ethnic country and we are its inhabitants - all very different, but there are things that unite us all regardless of nationality, age and social status. Undoubtedly, it is love for our country and our traditional holidays! At least three holidays we are truly popular and most loved:

• The first holiday is Victory Day on may 9! It is a day of pride for our grandfathers, who brought us victory over Fascism and liberated Europe from this plague, with the support of the allies, who opened a second front in June 1944. And before that, three long years, from June 1941наши grandparents single-handedly fought against the Nazi aggressors and threw him from the borders of our country.

The whole country in unison takes to the streets on this Holy day for us, Victory day! I'll tell you about it later in this post…

• The second national holiday is the New Year! Not Christmas, although his, too, gladly are celebrating Orthodox, namely New Year, which we celebrate in night with 31 December on 1 January. I repeat, we have a multi-ethnic and multi-confessional country, but everyone is celebrating this day! Festivities last all night, with fireworks. Will talk about this, too, in a separate post, because there will be 2 more competition. :)

• And the third favorite holiday, and someone can have them and even more is some local holiday, the people or religious denomination, the place where he lives or was born. In my Republic of Tatarstan it is, of course – Sabantuy! It is a national holiday, but it is celebrated by all the inhabitants of the Republic!

• Thus, the most favorite holiday is Victory Day. In the morning at 10 o'clock in Moscow on red square is a festive military parade dedicated to the holiday. And the same parades are held in many major cities of the country.

And then begins the most remarkable and amazing event-people go to the people's March, which was called the Immortal regiment. The war affected every family and people take to the streets with portraits of their relatives and friends who died in this war.
The festivities last all day. In the parks and gardens you can try the food prepared in the field kitchens, as in those days.

And ends the day with fireworks! In all major cities at 22 o'clock roars fireworks, and in small towns people launch fireworks!

Родился я в Казани – это один из городов, в котором проходил чемпионат мира по футболу 2018.

Россия это прекрасная, очень многонациональная страна и мы её жители - все очень разные, но есть вещи, которые нас всех объединяют независимо от национальности, возраста и социального статуса. Несомненно, это любовь к нашей родине и нашим традиционным праздникам! Как минимум три праздника у нас являются истинно народными и самыми любимыми:

• Первый праздник это День Победы 9 мая! Это день нашей гордости за наших дедов, которые добыли нам победу над Фашизмом и освободили Европу от этой чумы, при поддержке союзников, которые открыли второй фронт в июне 1944 года. А до этого, три долгих года, с июня 1941наши деды в одиночку боролись с фашистскими агрессорами и вышвырнули его с границ нашей Родины.
  
  Вся страна в едином порыве выходит на улицы в этот святой день для нас, день Победы! Расскажу об это чуть позже в этом же посте…
• Второй общенародный праздник это Новый Год! Не Рождество, хотя его тоже с удовольствием празднуют православные, а именно Новый Год, который мы празднуем в ночь с 31 декабря на 1 января. Повторю, у нас многонациональная и много-конфессионная страна, но этот день празднуют все! Гулянья длятся всю ночь, с фейерверками. Расскажу об этом тоже в отдельном посте, ведь будут еще 2 конкурса. :)
  
• А третий любимый праздник, а у кого-то может их и еще больше это какой-то местный праздник, того народа или религиозной конфессии, того места где он живёт или родился. В моей республике Татарстан это, конечно же – Сабантуй! Это национальный праздник, но празднуют его все жители республики!
  
  Итак, самый любимый всеми праздник это День Победы. Утром в 10 часов в Москве на Красной площади проходит праздничный военный парад, посвященный празднику. И такие же парады проходят во многих крупных городах страны.
  
  А потом начинается самое замечательное и удивительное событие – люди выходят на народное шествие, которое получило название Бессмертный полк. Война затронула каждую семью и люди выходят на улицы с портретами своих родных и близких, погибших в этой войне.
  Гулянья длятся весь день. В парках и скверах можно попробовать пищу приготовленную в полевых кухнях, как в те далёкие дни.
  
  А заканчивается день салютом! Во всех крупных городах в 22 часа грохочет праздничный салют, а в небольших населённых пунктах люди запускают фейерверки!
