WaynaPicchu: One of the Best Hiking Trails Ever
Huayna Picchu (or Wayna Picchu) is the most beautiful trail that I've hiked so far.
It's me in the picture by the way. And you can spend hours looking at Macchu Picchu from there.
It's like a spiritual walk all the way up to the summit. And it's crazy high. About 2700 meters high.
You don't have to be so fit actually, just don't party too much one day before and you should be good.
It's safe to say that climbing up Wayna Picchu is one of the highlights of visiting Macchu Picchu. From a distance looks way harder than it actually is.
When we were climbing up some hikers were commenting that more than 20 people already died there, but to be honest I didn't feel that the trail was that dangerous.
When you arrive at the summit it's a crazy feeling seeing the cloud below you. if I go back to Macchu Picchu for sure I wanna do it again.
You have to book in advance but as far as I remember it's super cheap. But only a limited number of people can gain access to the mountain. So be prepared. And I think the whole trail is around 2-3 hours.
Remember on your way back to protect your food. You will be starving and the Llamas will try to steal your food!

Wow! That opening image is breathtaking! It was like doing a reality check or double/ tripletake! My imagination runs wild thinking what the reality of that view must feel like.

I went there 6 years ago and I think about that place almost everyday! If you have the chance you should go, it is cheap and so awesome ;)
I had a vision board with Macchu Picchu on it a few years ago. Traveling is not top of mind at this point in my life but, perhaps it will be again one day. I appreciate delving into memories. 😊💙💚
