Focus on The Promise
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. — 2 Corinthians 7:1 (KJV)
As children of the Almighty God,we have His promises which are daily fulfilled in our lives. God is ever faithful in keeping His word. Brethren, God has made everything beautiful at it's time,but we have a part to play : perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Most times, our enemies are not the agents of darkness but the filthiness of our imaginations and hearts. Those things that make it difficult to have the mind of Christ. The entanglement with flesh which can be traced to our generational background. The besetting sins that is common to our families,environment ,locality or generation.
But thank God for the blood of Jesus! It's time for a cleansing. It's time for holiness. It's time for chastity. It's time to let go of unprofitable mindset. It's time to cast down unholy imaginations. Brethren,the time is now. God expect us to live for Him in perfect holiness. Take a stand today, agree to live in this perfection. Ask the Holy Spirit to overwhelm you with love for righteousness and hatred for sin.
Today, let every filthiness of the flesh and spirit be cast out from our lives in Jesus' name. Amen. Stay holy. Much love!
