Finally - after quite a bit of time - the first company will launch Bitcoin Futures following the new regulations of the US Government / SEC.
Bakkt aims to bring transparency and trust to digital assets and offers next to storing digital assets, also payments and futures, all compliant to government regulations. Soon we will be able to enjoy Bitcoin Futures...
In less then a month, Bakkt will launch the first ever Bitcoin Futures and provides Bitcoin backed contract settlements.
Two futures contracts will be listed: 1) A daily settlement bitcoin future, which will enable customers to transact in a same-day market. And 2) a monthly bitcoin futures contract will enable trading in the front month and across the forward pricing curve.
The futures contracts will be margined by ICE Clear US, including the collection of initial margin collateral and variation margin to manage risk.
