The Spider's Web!!!!
Ensnared by your first smile
Held bound by your first touch
Suspended by your first kiss
How would I have Known
The smile of a traitor
Or the breach of laced venom
You spun with words of Splendour
Your deceit is cast in the shadows of darkness
You weave your thread meticulously
Your intent to tangle and strangle
You are a receptacle
Of savage mastery
With a tongue of a viper
Your tools appear innocuous
To the undiscerning eyes
But only chaos trails your path
You lay your webs in the corners
You suffocate with your strands
And mangle with your strength
A heart you didn't create
Oh! My! Which victim is next?
You who obscure the the brightness of light
And tightly spin and weave
Your intricate silk of deceit
To wangle your way through
Your deception amazes
And your dark side shocking
But light will search you out
And pray I do constantly
That none will be caught dead
In the intricate web of the spider
